My Girlfriend is a Nine-Tailed Fox: Episode 3

My Girlfriend is a Nine-Tailed Fox > Episode 3 [Watch it]
Dae-woong rushes to assure Hye-in that Mi-ho isn’t his girlfriend, but she doesn't look too pleased at his clumsy insistence, either. Hye-in leaves and Dae-woong chases her trying to explain with enough half-truths to mollify her: He went to the countryside for a few days and Mi-ho accommodated him in her home. Mi-ho had followed him back to Seoul to escape her strict grandmother, which he didn’t realize till she was already here. He feels sorry for her because she knows nobody here, and she did help him out while he was in the countryside. Hye-in sighs that Mi-ho took advantage of his soft-heartedness.

Meanwhile, Byung-soo clucks in disapproval at Dae-woong’s disgraceful treatment of Mi-ho (his girlfriend) in front of his noona. Mi-ho, being from a previous era, doesn’t immediately grasp the meaning of “girlfriend”, but she guesses that the word signifies “the one you want for a mate”, and that Dae-woong’s reaction means “he has no intention of taking me as his mate.”

Dae-woong is happily escorting Hye-in to lunch when Mi-ho approaches. Hye-in’s easy attitude soon becomes pettish in the presence of a rival. Dae-woong hurries over to Mi-ho to tell her to stay away for a while, while while he goes out to lunch. But she gets straight to the point: “Do you like her? Are you going to mate with her?” He protests and asks if she’s jealous. Touching his chest, Mi-ho tells him he can’t carry her fox bead and “share his ki [energy]” with another woman, “because that hurts my fox bead.”

He asks for a definition of “sharing ki” and gets back the answer: “to mate.” She won’t allow him to go off with Hye-in, especially since she can see that he was ready to not only share his ki but practically give her his entire soul. Mi-ho decides she’d better go with him, or he’ll have to give back her bead. Not really much of a choice, is it? She simplifies the choice: “If you go, you die.”

While the two are having their discussion, Hye-in, tired of waiting, drives off, ignoring Dae-woong who chases after her car. He tries to look for the silver lining in being ditched: it would have been more embarrassing to tell Hye-in he couldn’t go with her, so it’s better that Hye-in left him behind first. Mi-ho perks up at this admission that he wasn’t going to follow her.

He barks at her in annoyance, but Mi-ho replies in a hurt voice that she’s just trying to save him, emphasizing: “I want to save you from dying, so I’m giving you my really precious fox bead.”

Upon hearing that, he feels a stab of remorse and exasperatedly says that he’s upset because his pride has taken a hit. Soon, Mi-ho’s hungry again, but decides not to tell him as she thinks that asking Dae-woong for more meat will just make him more angry with her.

On the bus, Dae-woong sits as far from Mi-ho has possible, casting sidelong glances as she literally salivates over an ad for a meat restaurant. She looks at him pathetically, but he pretends not to see and texts Hye-in an apology message.

Mi-ho watches the a mother-daughter pair seated in front of her: the mother tells her cute daughter that she just wants to “eat her up.” Upon hearing that, Mi-ho wonders why a woman would want to eat her own child. When the girl looks over at her, Mi-ho jokes that she might eat the girl herself. Dae-woong, having seen Mi-ho raise the girl’s hand to her mouth as though to take a bite, panics and drags her off the bus.

Mi-ho insists that she was just copying the mother’s behavior, reminding him that she doesn’t eat people. Realizing that he over-reacted, and feeling abashed, he soon thinks otherwise when she tells him, “If I were hungry, would I eat a little dog? I’d eat something bigger like you.”

As a result of dragging Mi-ho out the bus in a panic, he left his cell phone on the bus. In a desperate attempt to get in touch with his phone, he asks strangers to borrow their phone, hoping that a stranger will pick up. While he’s busy pleading with them, Mi-ho takes off running after the bus. When he successfully connects to his phone, he gets Mi-ho on the line. Due to her her superhuman speed and hearing, she managed to track down the bus, and brings him his phone.

Dae-woong notices that she’s out of breath, and is a little surprised that a gumiho would experience the same physical reactions as a human. She then explains that since he has her bead, she feels the physical exertion more than normally. It’s not until this very moment that he understands that he bead is very important to her.

Mi-ho gathers him up in a hug and tells him to pay attention, and he’s able to feel the beads pull. He finally understands that she’s a different being — even the passing of time felt different. Mi-ho reiterates that he has the most precious part of her inside him, requesting that he treats it carefully and make sure it isn’t injured. He promises.

That evening, unable to accept his friends’ invitations to party, Dae-woong is stuck at home lamenting that while Mi-ho is with him, he can't do anything.

He sneaks out quietly to talk with Hye-in outside when she drops by while Mi-ho is napping. With a perceived rival now on the scene, Hye-in asks him to declare his feelings for her, giving him encouragement — holding his hand and embracing him — to pressure him into making his declaration.

Dae-woong is tempted and leans in for a kiss… until he imagines Mi-ho sternly reminding him he isn’t free to do anything of the kind. In his horror-fantasy, Mi-ho growls, “I told you not to mate!”... And he wakes up from this nightmare.

Mi-ho soon starts to understand the whole money = meat situation. The chicken restaurant near their place has a promotional deal: 10 proofs of purchase can be exchanged for a free meal. She currently has 8, so she heads off to a streetside trash can to find more.

On her way, she darts in front of a car, which bumps her. It’s Doo-hong, who calls out after her to see if she’s okay. Unconcerned with his calls to her, she finds a coupon in the trash, but it gets sent flying in the air when a gust of wind comes, so she leaps up among the treetops to retrieve it.

Doo-hong can’t believe his eyes when he sees Mi-ho leap in the air among the branches to grab the coupon. He has found the “real action” heroine he has been searching for!

It is audition day for Dae-woong and he asks Mi-ho for her opinion on shirts. She chooses the brown one exclaiming that it is the color of cows. Dryly, he holds up his other shirts in turn, asking, “So is this pig color [pink], and this one chicken [yellow]?”

Mi-ho agrees, and goes one step further to rate them in order of preference: first place is cow, second is pig, third is chicken. She urges him to choose the cow color, to which he retorts that he’ll wear “grass color” so as not to appeal to her appetite.

As Dae-woong leaves for his audition, Grandpa arrives and overhears his conversation with Mi-ho. His words (that he’d better do well in order to keep her in beef) have a different ring to Grandpa’s ears, particularly when Dae-woong declares that this is all “to support you.”

At first Grandpa is dismayed, but he recalls scenes from Dae-woong’s spoiled youth: his younger version announced that since Grandpa’s so rich, he has no need to find a way to support himself. Or when he ditched school, saying he could just set up his own billiard hall with Grandpa’s money. Or when college-aged Dae-woong asked Grandpa to set up his own management company, so he could become a star, declaring, “I don’t like difficult things. I want to hit it big!”

So in that context, Dae-woong working hard to put food on the table for his girlfriend isn’t SO horrible. In fact, Grandpa’s rather pleased at this transformation.

Doo-hong’s assistant prepares him for the day’s auditions and points out the leading choice for female lead, but he’s distracted by thoughts of his mysterious real action heroine from the night before.

Hye-in is auditioning for a supporting character with a lot of action scenes, but she overhears the assistant saying that the director wants to cast a rookie for the lead — something about long hair and a white dress.

On the way to the audition, Dae-woong notices that Mi-ho looks distressed. She explains that they’re passing over the river, which is upsetting since large bodies of water are her weakness. He can’t do anything about it, so he hugs and puts her hand on his chest — to put her closer to her fox bead.

She smiles as she rests her head on his chest, then wonders, aloud “Woong, what’s a couple?” He asks why, and she says, “People are calling us a couple” — her sensitive hearing has picked up on the comments of the other bus passengers. Dae-woong balks and pushes her away, so she decides, “It must not be a good thing.”

He fumbles for an excuse to keep her at arm’s length, saying it sure is hot, oh ho, she’d better stand away from him. Wouldn’t it be great if it rained and cooled the heat?

Mi-ho answers that for rain to come on such a clear day, she’d have to cry. Dae-woong asks in surprise if Mi-ho cries, and she answers yes: “When it rains on a clear day, it’s because I’m sad.” She pouts that she’s about to cry… because she’s so hungry. Dae-woong is in an amenable mood, and suggests they stop by for lunch on the way, bringing a smile to her face.

How does Dae-woong propose to feed her? Supermarket samples! Since she’s not human, he tells her she doesn’t have to worry about being judged for eating more than one sample, and urges her to eat as much as she wants. Eagerly, Mi-ho makes her way down the aisle, chanting, “Cow! Cow! Cow!”

Dong-joo is also in the store, watching Mi-ho. With a smile, he thinks, “You must be enjoying human life, Ms. Gumiho.” And although he didn’t say it aloud, Mi-ho hears his comment and looks around for the source of the voice. He continues, “You’ve been locked up for a long while — the world has changed a lot, hasn’t it?” He tells her not to worry, as he isn’t intending to hurt her right now… although that suggests he does intend to at a later date.

He challenges her to try finding him, curious to know if she’ll be able to pin him down in the crowd. Following her senses, Mi-ho wanders up to the department store level, where she meets eyes with Dong-joo. The sight conjures up a long-buried memory of her past incarnation, and she makes her way toward him.

Mi-ho can feel their connection but doesn’t recognize who he is, and asks if he was the one who called her. He confirms it. She touches a hand to his face, then decides, “You’re not human, either.”

In turn, he raises a hand to her face and says, “And you’re not the girl I knew, either.” He explains that there was another supernatural being who looked like her, and she asks if that makes him one, too.

Mi-ho supposes that even so, she’s probably stronger than he is, but he contradicts her — while she’s missing her bead, he’s stronger than her. In fact, she has been weakened so much that she can’t recognize his true nature, and if he tried to capture her, she wouldn’t be able to resist.

Mi-ho displays her childlike faith in Dae-woong, assuring Dong-joo that her bead is nearby and safe. Shrewdly, Dong-joo asks if she really trusts Dae-woong not to run off or ditch her. He gives her one piece of advice — don’t trust humans. As he leaves, he promises he’ll come find her later.

Dae-woong is heading up to the cosmetics counter to primp while Mi-ho eats her fill, On his way there he runs into Hye-in. She has changed into a white dress and got hair extensions in hopes of fitting the director’s idea of a female lead. She greets him enthusiastically.

Remembering Mi-ho’s warnings, Dae-woong tries to disentangle his arm from Hye-in’s naturally, but she notices. When she suggests that they head to the audition together, he hastily makes up an excuse for her to go without him. She doesn’t understand why he’s playing hard to get, but she gets upset at his reaction.

Shortly, Dae-woong returns to the meat counter to retrieve Mi-ho, she’s upstairs in the clothing department. There, Hye-in sees her and guesses that Dae-woong had pushed her aside because of Mi-ho.

Hye-in approaches Mi-ho and offers patronizing comments about Dae-woong leaving without her. Mi-ho can sense otherwise and is confident that he’s nearby, looking for her, and cheerily contradicts her. Hye-in counters, “He stood you up. Are you saying I’m lying to you?” Mi-ho doesn’t register her snideness and replies simply, “Yes. There he is!” and points to Dae-woong off in the distance. Mi-ho adds without an ounce of irony, “You must be a liar!”

That riles Hye-in’s temper, and she takes a menacing step toward Mi-ho, who sidesteps her easily. This misstep sends Hye-in sprawling to the ground, coffee spilling all over her white dress. Dae-woong comes rushing to her side, and Hye-in blames it all on Mi-ho. She plays it up, acting the aggrieved party, saying this dress was specifically needed for her audition concept.

Dae-woong jumps to set things to rights, urging Hye-in to go ahead to her audition. He’ll find a replacement dress, then bring it with him. He even calls aunt Min-sook for an emergency transfer of funds.

After buying the dress, he races to the audition building, where Doo-hong presides over matters, displeased with the applicants. Hye-in had actually already decided against the white dress, having heard that the director had a specific girl in mind, and auditions for the part. By the time Dae-woong gets to the building, however, everything has ended. Worse than failing to come through for Hye-in, he missed his own chance at the audition.

Over the phone, he hears that Hye-in made her audition, and tries to say that it’s okay hat he missed his, although he clearly feels horribly disappointed. In all this excitement, he hasn’t even thought about Mi-ho, but thanks to her gumiho senses, she tracks him down to the lobby where he sits in dejection.

She doesn’t understand that he blames her for all this, starting with the meat and the spilled coffee — Hye-in had made it seem like Mi-ho pushed her and ruined her dress on purpose, and Mi-ho hadn’t protested. With grim determination, he leads her away and arrives at a tourist ferry docked at the Han River.

She doesn’t like it, feeling uneasy to be surrounded by so much water, and pleads to go somewhere else. But Dae-woong tells her firmly that this is where he wants to eat dinner. He leaves to go on a bathroom break, while Mi-ho anxiously stands alone, trying to play down her fears. When the food is set out, she helps herself to the dinner spread.

Being surrounded by water dulls her gumiho senses, leaving her feeling defenseless, but she doesn’t want to protest because Dae-woong is in such a bad mood, so she meekly waits. Hence, she can’t sense Dae-woong exiting the boat. She only notices when she looks out to the pier and sees Dae-woong speeding away from her.

Starting to panic, she cries out after him but he doesn't stop. Dae-woong doesn’t feel proud of himself, but he tells himself firmly that he doesn’t care what happens to her, that she’s the reason nothing’s working out for him.

On the boat, Mi-ho huddles off to the side, shivering. She realizes, “He abandoned me and left. And after he promised.”

Tears start to fall from her eyes, just as the clear skies suddenly cloud over and rain starts to fall. The rainfall stops Dae-woong in his tracks, realizing what this means: “Mi-ho is crying.”....

Fahrenheit sends temperature rising in Singapore

MSN Entertainment

Posted ImagePopular Taiwanese boy band Fahrenheit drove away the cold and rainy weather when they touched down in Singapore to promote their latest album, Super Hot.

At the media conference, interaction and chemistry between the four members were significantly better than before. Calvin Chen was still full of eloquence, Jiro Wang and Aaron Yan bridged sentences with experience and Wu Chun occasionally told jokes.

In their latest music video 'Super Hot', the band generously showed off their well-toned bodies. During live performances, they pulled and tugged at their shirts in bid to show off their manly sides. When asked how the group would flaunt their charismas, all four believed that having inner beauty is essential.

Calvin expressed that it had been five years since the formation of Fahrenheit. Fans have not only witnessed their growth throughout the years, but are also starting to understand the individual charisma each member possesses.

Aaron, however believed that a man should have a goal, while Wu Chun thought sincerity was the most important factor.

Aaron Yan dishes advice for preparing a bed scene

MSN Entertainment

Posted ImageWhat does it take for one to prepare for a bed scene? For Aaron Yan, all it took was five simple steps.

In his recent drama Gloomy Salad Days, the story described Aaron and co-star Serena Fang falling in love with each other during their past lives.

On the day of the shoot, the singer-actor dived straight to the set of the drama after completing overseas commitments and filmed his first bed scene for the drama. While it might have looked like an easy scene, Aaron was actually stressed out.

"I didn't know where to put my hands, or how much body contact we should have," said the idol.

The director Zero Chou however told Aaron to "give himself to Serena Fang".

Aaron undertook the scenes responsibly and even came up with five steps of preparation, namely "brushing teeth, putting on perfume, doing push-ups, wearing swimming trunks and taking in a bit of alcohol".

Apart from brushing his teeth for at least 10 minutes in order to retain the freshness of his breath, he even sprayed on perfume, which was said to excite female hormones. The actor demanded Serena to grade him and his co-star gave him "face", by replying "not bad" shyly.

As the singer-actor also wanted to look great on television, he did a couple of push-ups before the actual filming.

He explained, "I wasn't sure which part of my body was going to be revealed, so I trained up my back and arm muscles."

Furthermore, Aaron wanted to wear only underwear for the scene, but added an extra pair of swimming trunks after the production crew warned him about accidentally exposing more than he should.

Lastly, to relax his nerves, Aaron drank some alcohol before the shoot, only to fall asleep while the director was adjusting the camera. She shook him for a period of time before he woke up.

"I wanted to just take away my nervousness initially, but I guess I ended up being too relaxed," said Aaron in embarrassment.

Aaron's courage boosted after this experience, claiming that he would "take more clothes off the next time".

Fahrenheit shows no jealousy as they go their separate ways

In regards to rumors about the group being on bad terms and news of them disbanding, Fahrenheit responds, “We’re used to it, so we might as well not respond. A group will always go through these sort of things.” It is a fact that the popularity of each member is different, but all four members express, “This is good competition. We will only know what’s good and bad when there is comparison.” They emphasize that they won’t be jealous of each other even when they work as solo artists in the future. Fahrenheit will be releasing their 4th album in August and after that, they will have only one more album left to complete their contract.

Wu Chun, the rising movie star
Wu Chun not only sings, stars in dramas and movies, but also owns a fitness center. Aaron Yan compliments, “He has his thoughts on things and is a person with principle.” Although Wu Chun loves to eat, he still manages to keep a fit body, but Jiro Wang reveals, “One time when we were promoting in Singapore, I asked him to save me two ribs, but in the end, I only saw leftover bones.” Just several days ago at their autographing session, when they spoke of food, Jiro made fun of Wu Chun, and called him a “pig” saying, “You pretend to be a ‘pig’ (play dumb) and swallow a tiger (this year is tiger year).”

Jiro and Aaron are the two who are most interested in music, and they plan to release an EP this year. Jiro will reunite with his five-member band, Dong Cheng Wei (東城衛), from highschool, “This was a promise we made in high school. We must stand on stage together.” He promises that he will introduce Dong Cheng Wei to the fans with the aid of his popularity.

Aaron learns Jazz theory and guitar
Aaron is currently working hard on learning Jazz theory and guitar, and is expected to release his solo album this year, containing five songs. Other members express their support: Calvin Chen says that he will be the MC at his press conference, while Wu Chun and Jiro want to attend as special guests to help promote. Furthermore, Aaron’s other wish is to obtain a driver’s license, “Everyone says that a boy cannot become a man without a driver’s license. I’m already 24.”

Calvin dreams of becoming a host
Calvin on the other hand, has recommended himself to TV networks to become a host. Wu Chun comments, “He’s a sunny boy that knows how to tell jokes, so hosting definitely wouldn’t be a problem. I hope that I can be on his variety show one day.” Calvin will give himself two years time to pursue his dream as a variety show host. He expresses that his pay is not an issue. In addition, he is open to talk about sex and/or hot topics such as scandals and rumors, “As long as it has been communicated with the guest and we both know what the limit is.” But gossips or hot topics both require the interviewer to press for, thus, Calvin replies that he would use phrases like “surveys indicate,” or “netizens want to know,” type of format to open discussions and not affect his guests' emotions while also keeping his viewers interested.

Since the explosion with burns from the accident, it has been over a month and a half for artist Selina, she has continued to treatment at the hospital for debridement, skin grafting, rehab and other treatments. Ren Ba’s latest article includes happy news shared on his blog, suffering for 45 days; Selina yesterday for the first time is able to touch the ground with her feet trying to sit on the wheelchair.

Yesterday Selina was observed for the 3rd time of her recovery from skin grafting, Ren Ba quoted what the doctor said: “Although there are still some skin that needs to be repaired, but it’s quite optimistic of the results from the skin grafting.” Besides good progress from the skin grafting, Selina has never left her hospital room since the accident on Oct 22nd, so finally after the incident of 46 days she is able to try her first attempt to bending her knees on the wheelchair.

Ren Ba expressed, Selina originally relied on the nurse to carry her to the wheelchair, at the end she was able to hold her pain and with the aid of the nurse to try to put her legs on the ground, then slowly sat down in the chair.

S.H.E cuts concerts and postpones album

With Selina still in the hospital, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that S.H.E's activities have been affected. Though Selina has been in the hospital for around 40 days and has slowly been recovering, she will not be able to get straight back to work. With last half of this year originally planned for their individual work, this incident has not affected the group's plans too greatly.

However, the two planned Mainland concerts in Shanxi and Hangzhou for February and March of next year have been canceled losing S.H.E around $6,000,000 TWD. Advertisements and commercials that have been renewed will only be featuring Hebe and Ella. In addition, they had originally planned to release their next group album during summer of next year. Since Selina will most likely not be able to do any recordings for a while, the album has been postponed.

According to their record company, there is no telling whether Selina will be able to return home by next year's Spring Festival. While her first three skin grafts went well, there is still much more to go, including training her facial muscles. Though she has cried out in pain from moving her wrists, Selina is still making progress on the healing front. Let's wish her the best and hope that the rest of the treatment process goes well!

S.H.E's Selina Jen finally able to speak to media

Taiwan pop trio S.H.E's Selina Jen addressed the media for the first time on Thursday via an audio recording, since being hospitalized 42 days ago for the severe burns she suffered during a filming accident, reported Taiwan media.

Prior to this message, Jen's father and fiance Richard Chang had always responded to media queries on her behalf.

"Hi, it really is me. Now that I have been taken off the morphine (a narcotic that acts as a strong painkiller), I am more lucid, can use the phone and speak to people normally.

"Previously, I don't even remember what I said to people, it's actually quite funny," said Jen, who sounded the same as before in a 22-second recorded message released to the Taiwan media.

Jen later sent an SMS to the various media outlets and assured her fans that she was recovering well.

"I know you are very concerned about me. The most painful period has passed," Jen said in her SMS.

According to a statement from Jen's record label HiM International Music, doctors say that the 29-year-old singer's rate of recovery is "better than expected", with new skin growth observed on the site of her burns.

The statement also said that Jen has been doing exercises to help train her facial muscles and had been advised by doctors to drink more milk to help her skin heal.

Jen suffered severe third-degree burns to 41 per cent of her body in October when the explosives put in place for an explosion scene in Jen's new drama "I Have A Date With Spring" detonated prematurely.

Ariel Lin casts aside Golden Bell, challenges Golden Horse again with her return to the big screen

Golden Bell Queen Ariel Lin is not worried about the Golden Bell curse. Seven years after her 2003 movie, Love Me If You Can, Golden Horse Best Actress nomination, she is once again filming a movie, Love Sick (temporary title). She will be partnering with her shi-di (company junior), Chen Bolin (Wilson Chen), acting as sweethearts.

After venturing and competing in the music industry, Ariel was worried that her acting skills might get rusty and carried a book on acting with her, filling the scripts [I guess this means the acting book contains a lot of scripts/plays] with her writing [probably her side notes/comments], hoping to return and re-discover the feeling of filming a movie, and once again challenging the Golden Horse award.

Ariel's acting skills have received affirmation, leaving a deep impression on many directors. As production of the idol dramas, Extravagant Challenge and Coffee Prince Taipei, had been stalled because of script and casting problems, her management company said (Ariel) had some free time until next year so she decided to accept the movie offer. The storyline is still very confidential.

Sources said the movie will be helmed by a Hollywood-based Chinese-American director who specializes in shooting short films and commercials. Chinese investors have gone all the way to Taiwan to sincerely invite her [to participate in the movie]. Moreover, there are quite a few foreign production team members, which made Ariel feel that it’s all going to be very fresh [i.e., working with this new team] and finally agree [to join the film]. She hopes to create new sparks with the new team. Her new partner, Chen Bolin, will play a Prince Charming. This will be the first time that the two will play lovers on the big screen.

Love Sick will begin shooting at the beginning of December. In past years, Ariel had always celebrated her birthday with fans, but this year, she chose to celebrate it with her mom and younger brother; the family took the time to take a trip to Taipei Zoo to enjoy simple, every day happiness. When she was filming a commercial in Shanghai, Ariel treated her manager and colleagues to a big sluice crab feast, replenishing their strength before work – very considerate of her.

Show Luo reveals truth behind his 'Cyber-sex' scandal

Channel News Asia

TAIPEI: Taiwan singer Show Luo revealed the shocking truth behind his 'Cyber-sex' scandal last year, during an appearance on a talk show with his mother on Monday, reported Taiwan media.

Luo got into trouble last year when a girl claimed the star took his shirt off and started chatting her up when they conversed via webcam. The girl produced footage of the incident and Luo admitted to it before issuing a tearful apology on the same talk show after the news broke.

At the time, Luo claimed he was "just trying to make new friends" and "was set up" when he let his guard down. However, the popular singer surprised everybody on the talk show set Monday when he dismissed everything that happened as untrue almost a year after the incident.

"My mum has always taught me 'No matter how poor your family background is, we don't steal or rob and eat our rice with dignity. If you haven't done anything, you have to speak out'," said Luo when he explained the whole incident.

Luo pointed out that he actually did nothing wrong and his admission of guilt was simply a calculated move to make the whole scandal go away more quickly. "If I didn't admit I was guilty then, everybody would think I was making up excuses, so I shouldered the blame," said Luo, who expressed that taking the blame for something he didn't do tormented him for the longest time.

According to Luo, the footage had been doctored to frame him. "At home, I never wear a shirt. But I felt it was not appropriate [to go shirtless on webcam] and put on a vest.

"In the end, the order of the events was reversed [in the footage provided by the girl] so it looked as though I was already wearing a vest and took it off," said the 31-year-old singer.

Perhaps the biggest shocker is Luo's revelation that it was no girl he was chatting with on webcam that fateful day, but a guy who was infatuated with him.

Last hope of F4 2010 reunion is dashed

Source: Appledaily
Written by: Zahra @ CpopAccess.com

After The Little Tiger's reunion on CCTV's annual Spring Festival Celebration program for their twentieth year, there were rumors and speculation that perhaps F4 would also reunite on the show for their tenth anniversary. While that plan to bring together Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, Van Ness Wu, and Ken Chu didn't fall into place, CCTV gave it one more shot by mailing out formal invitations in hopes that the four would attend the New Year's Eve celebration in Shenzhen on the 21st this year. Alas, Vic thought that the New Year's Eve celebration would actually, you know, be on New Year's Eve (the 31st), and so he had already made vacation plans for the 21st.

Unlike in Taiwan, Mainland's CCTV holds their New Year's Eve party earlier. On the night of the 20th, they hold the red carpet event, a press conference, and the dress rehearsal. Then on the 21st, they officially film the show. Had the reunion of F4 been successful, they would have been Taiwan's sole representatives.

The "mother of F4", Angie Chai, has deemed it "Mission Impossible" to bring the four together due to their different management companies. And since Vic will be doing promotions in Tokyo for "Black and White" near the Spring Festival date next year, chances are slim that the four will be able to reunite for the occasion. However, it can't be completely written off yet. Perhaps Hunan TV, who has offered to provide them with planes for transfers for Hunan TV's Spring Festival show, will be able to finally bring them back together again. Even Jerry's manager has stated that the four have a consensus on reuniting, but it will all depend on their schedules.

In the meantime, we can look forward to other big names coming to the CCTV New Year's Eve party, such as the Four Heavenly Kings consisting of Andy Lau, Jacky Cheung, Leon Lai, and Aaron Kwok.

Lin Chi-ling crowned top-earning model again

It has been a busy year for Taiwan's top model Lin Chi-ling as she pockets more than TWD$1 billion in earnings.

Ranking Taiwanese models according to their annual incomes, the country's top model Lin Chi-ling dominated the chart for the seventh time in a row. Her income for the year was estimated to be more than TWD$1.6 billion (approximately S$7 million). Coming in second and third were Sonia Sui and Bianca Bai respectively. In fourth position was Patina Lin, followed by Tiffany Hsu in fifth.

Lin Chi-ling reportedly generated more than $1 billion from her endorsements of 12 different products, which cost more than $10 million each. On top of that, the model received a paycheck of more than $10 million for the production of Japanese drama series Moon Lovers. After the addition of income from appearing at events in the later half of the year, her win on the chart was expected.

On the other hand, Sonia Sui, who shot to fame with Taiwanese drama series P.S. Man, was reported to be earning an average amount of $150,000 per episode for the drama The Fierce Wife, which she is currently filming. She also received a $7 million paycheck for the movie Make Up. Additionally, Sonia generated $20 million from endorsements and other activities.

Coming in third, Bianca Bai, co-star of Sonia Sui in P.S. Man, also took on a movie role in Kingfisher, which paid her $4 million. She also earned an additional $15 million from endorsements and other activities.

Barbie Hsu Joins 'My Kingdom'

CRI.English

Newlywed actress Barbie Hsu has chosen her acting job over honeymoon and joined the set of the action film "My Kingdom" ("Da Wu Sheng") in Shanghai, Web site 163.com reports. Hsu registered to marry wealthy restaurateur Wang Xiaofei on November 16 in Beijing, surprising celebrity gossip watchers as she only met Wang two months earlier.

In "My Kingdom", Hsu joins Wu Chun ("14 Blades") and Han Geng for a 1920s tale of two brothers' quest for fame, love and revenge. The film will be the screen debut for pop star Han Geng, the former backbone of the boy band Super Junior.

Musician-turned-filmmaker Gao Xiaosong is directing the film, with kung-fu veteran Sammo Hung choreographing the action scenes. The story was penned by Zou Jingzhi, who also did Zhang Yimou's "Riding Alone for Thousands of Miles" ("Qian Li Zou Dan Ji").

Hollywood veteran Andre Morgan, who is producing the film, told "The Hollywood Reporter" that the project had come together after four years of preparation.

"We are excited to finally bring this very fresh story to Chinese audiences," Morgan was quoted as saying.

The film is slated for release in the summer of 2011.

Ikimono Gakari to take a break in 2011

Ikimono Gakari vocalist Kiyoe Yoshioka (26) announced on Wednesday night that her weekly radio show "Ikimono Gakari Yoshioka Kiyoe no All Night Nippon" will be ending with its December 21 broadcast. More importantly, she apparently confirmed that the band will be taking a break from performances during the first half of 2011.

A rumor was published in newspapers last month that the band would be going on hiatus for the first half of 2011, but the band and their record label issued public denials at the time. The band's leader, Yoshiki Mizuno, previously said that the members had discussed focusing on writing new songs, but that they would continue with their live activities.

It is now being reported that Ikimono Gakari will indeed be focusing on writing, but will not be doing any concerts or live performances. The length of the "hiatus" has not been decided, but a source says that it will be half a year at most, and that the band will fully resume activities by July. Their performance at Kohaku Uta Gassen on December 31 has been declared as their "last" for now.

The timing of the decision seems odd, given that they are currently at their peak with their recent best album "Ikimono Bakari ~Members BEST Selection~" getting certified by the RIAJ as reaching 1 million copies shipped. However, Yoshioka said, "We've run too far so we would like to take a rest. Please forgive our selfishness."

Ikimono Gakari has three more concerts left in their current tour, beginning with one on Thursday. It is expected that they may deliver more details to their fans at those shows.

The Sims 3: Traits Guide

categories: ,
The Sims 3 traits enable your Sims to have personalities that are unique and diverse, which can be interesting as well as entertaining. Sims in the game can have a maximum of 5 traits, which are further divided into 4 categories: mental, physical, social and lifestyle. There are 7 stages in a Sims life: baby, toddler, child, teen, young adult, adults and elder.

When your Sim is in a good mood while pregnant, you can select 1 trait for the baby when it is born, else it is selected randomly. As babies, toddlers, children and teens grow; they will be given traits based on their happiness (if they are happy enough you will be able to choose the trait for them, else the traits are most likely to be randomly assigned). However, when you are creating a young adult, adult or senior Sim in the create Sim mode, you have the opportunity to give them the traits you prefer before starting the game.

There is a wide range of traits that you can choose for your Sims: to be brave, cowards, heavy sleepers or slobs. Each of the traits will impact your Sims in regards to their lives, socialization, happiness, choices, skills and careers. There are metal traits like artistic, genius, green thumb and neurotic, or physical traits like heavy sleepers or slobs. Traits determine/affect how quickly your Sims skills develop, what they enjoy and how they relate to other Sims, greatly impacting their social interactions. There are also social traits like charismatic, dislikes children, good sense of humour and no sense of humour.

It would be good to note that a Sim cannot have opposing traits (e.g. great sense of humour and no sense of humour). Hence, choosing one trait could render its opposite obsolete. There are also traits that deal with lifestyle such as angler, frugal, kleptomaniac and vegetarian.

Each trait opens up different social interactions for your Sim and will affect the speed and success of learning a skill. For example, a Sim who is a workaholic will be very upset if they miss work, while a loner can last longer than Sims without any socialization. A flirtish Sim would be able to use different romantic interactions far sooner into a relationship than other Sims, and their flirting will usually be well-received. And an artistic Sim can paint and play the guitar much better than others.

Finally, the traits that a Sim’s has will help determine their lifetime wish. A Sim may want to grow the perfect garden if he/she has a green thumb, or raise a big family if family-orientated. In addition to selecting traits for you Sims, you are also able to select your Sim’s favourite food, colour and music. Voices of your Sims can also be adjusting via pitch to further enhance your Sim, making it a unique and interesting character.

Here is a list with descriptions of some personality traits:
  • Absent-Minded: Often get lost in their own thoughts and forget what they are doing or where they are going.
  • Ambitious: like that name suggests.
  • Angler: Enjoy fishing and will be more successful at getting more... Read more>>
