Drama Recap: Mr. Plankton Episode 8

A flashback to the day Jae Mi and Hae Jo split up. Because of her deep pain, Jae cursed Hae Jo to die alone on the street one day. "That will be great, I want to die while looking at the dazzling blue sky," Hae Jo replied, laughing it off rather than getting upset.

Bong Suk questioned Hae Jo at home if he felt bad about splitting from Jae Mi. Despite dropping their couple rings into the fish tank, Hae Jo responded that he no longer loved Jae Mi.

Now let's go back to the present. As a result of her emotional outburst towards Hae Jo and Bong Suk, Jae Mi bit Hae Jo's nose.

After finding her shoes and giving them back to her, Jae Mi wishes to reunite with Hae Jo. He attempted to pay for a taxi to take her home since Hae Jo is terrified of breaking her heart once more. In order to accompany Hae Jo on his quest to find his biological father, Jae Mi wanted to accompany him. She was rejected once more by Hae Jo, who assisted her with the shoes.

Leaving Jae Mi, who had travelled this far for him, made Hae Jo feel awful. He was reassured by Bong Suk, who advised him not to appear tough.

Eo Heung, on the other hand, is coming to terms with his feelings for Jae Mi. Because he loves Jae Mi just as much as Hae Jo, he made the decision to let her leave.

The news reported that the city was experiencing a severe downpour. If Jae Mi is still standing by herself on the street where she was abandoned, Hae Jo is concerned for her safety. Hae Jo made the decision to look for Jae Mi outside.

While looking for Jae Mi, Hae Jo became soaked in the rain. He could not, however, locate her. Dejected, he wandered aimlessly to his errand centre, where he was shocked to see Jae Mi sitting on the couch, wrapped in a blanket.

At last, Hae Jo acknowledged that he was so anxious about Jae Mi that he walked out to find her on the street. After making up, the pair kissed passionately and then had sex on the couch.

As they nestled close, Hae Jo and Jae Mi chatted. Jae Mi was glad she went to the errand centre because it will be closing tomorrow. Here, she discovered their wedding bands. Hae Jo recalled that Jae Mi had said she was an orphan and did not know her exact birthday when they were residing together. She celebrated her birthday at random each month because she only knew the day she went to the orphanage. Hae Jo promised to assist her in finding her true birthday so she would only have to celebrate it once a year. To commemorate Jae Mi's birthday, Hae Jo gave her a pair of rings.

In front of the family elders, Eo Heung made a mistake at the family prayer service. He is still tending to his wounded heart. He misses Jae Mi deeply and is listless.

When Bong Suk paid back his obligation to Gi Ho, Hae Jo instructed Jae Mi to look for him at his house. He is aware that Gi Ho's information is what allowed Jae Mi to locate him here.

It just so happens that Hae Jo's younger sister is the little girl who wishes to find her older brother. He identified her as freezer number 139. She is searching for her older brother because she is moving out with her mother following the divorce of her parents. Her father's loneliness worries her. The youngster revealed that she wishes her father were a seahorse because seahorses give birth to their offspring. Her father might love her more. Regardless, she is grateful to his father for bringing her into the world.

In order to discipline her friend for defrauding her of her money, Bong Suk asks Jae Mi to help. Dressed like a punk, Jae Mi followed Bong Suk's directions.

Gi Ho and Hae Jo had dinner together during which he expressed his inability to comprehend the girl's continued love for her father in spite of everything. "It's because blood is thicker than water," Gi Ho retorted. The third person who could be Hae Jo's biological father, according to Gi Ho's study, is an affluent man who donates sperm. If the DNA demonstrates their father-son link, Hae Jo might become wealthy.

When Hae Jo held the glass bottle, his hand was unsteady; it slipped out of his grasp and fell to the ground. In the midst of his illness, he shoved a worried Gi Ho aside and got into a taxi to return home.

Hae Jo was taken aback when she saw Bong Suk and Jae Mi together. He was under the impression that Jae Mi had visited the gambling den, which has a complex background. Hae Jo was given an explanation by Jae Mi as to why she was assisting Bong Suk. Bong Suk was wounded by Hae Jo's harsh remarks. Hae Jo tried to please her by doing a small, humorous dance.

As an heir, Eo Heung inherited the family business's responsibilities. He is still grieving over his breakup with Jae Mi, though, and he does not genuinely want to be in this situation. Finally, he left the house with a note for his mother. Despite her disappointment at her son's failure, Ho Ja had to accept Eo Heung's choice.

It turns out that Hae Jo's biological father might be a chairman of the pharmaceutical company. Jae Mi accompanied him to a press conference. After hearing a loud pop, Hae Jo felt lightheaded. When Hae Jo told Jae Mi that he wasn't feeling well, Jae Mi was too excited. Taking matters into her own hands, she raced to the stage and attempted to yank a few hairs out of the billionaire's head. The billionaire was upset to see someone causing disturbance here, but he was actually wearing a wig. When Jae Mi turned around, she saw Hae Jo on the ground, unconscious, and the security guards took her into custody.

Drama Queen review

This drama examines the relationship between parenting and communication. We are aware that Hae Jo struggles with his father and is reluctant to acknowledge his need for his father's love and care. Given their shared bitterness, he finds it incomprehensible that his younger sister, number 139, is concerned about their father. He did not anticipate that his younger sister will express gratitude to their father for bringing her into the world.

Hae Jo was so preoccupied with his own suffering and resentment that he failed to notice other people's suffering. His father must also be hurt, in my opinion. Like Hae Jo, he required time to recover from his suffering. It was noted by his younger sister that her father obviously loves and misses Hae Jo more. Her father, in her opinion, was a damaged and lonely guy. She wants to assist her father in finding his son since she feels sorry for him. Simply put, the girl is not aware that the person she is looking for is Hae Jo. Hae Jo felt resentful and held his father responsible for all of the pain. Instead of trying to mend his damaged relationship with his father, he is fleeing.

The relationship between Eo Heung and his mother is one of dominance and child care. Out of love, Ho Ja had planned every little thing for her baby. Eo Heung, on the other hand, is grieving a broken heart and felt suffocated. He also needs time to recover, which is why he flees his mother. We all know that his mother meant well for her son, but is that what's best for him? Eo Heung didn't want to be the family business's heir, and he thought his mother didn't get him.

We learnt a little about Bong Suk's parents' history of being in and out of partnerships. Ultimately, they have a large number of kids. Among the seven children is Bong Suk. We observe how parents can treat their children carelessly. Jae Mi has a depressing tale to share as well. It is terrible to be an orphan who is unaware of her birthday. How can parents have the heart to leave their children behind? Although there can be some justification for it, it is simply wrong from a moral standpoint. Naturally, children require parental supervision. Every choice we make has repercussions. This drama, in my opinion, effectively communicates the idea of forgiveness and healing.

Lastly, I don't think this drama is funny. How can it be appropriate to pull someone else's hair? I have no idea what Jae Mi is doing. Her behaviour is absurd and incomprehensible. Additionally, Hae Jo's discovery of his biological father becomes a little unpleasant. We are aware that he is attempting to revive his ties with his father while having a terminal illness. But how can you be connected to someone you've never lived with? Hae Jo is merely using excuses to defend himself and hide the reality that he longs for his foster father.
