At her workstation, Yuna started packing her belongings. Leader Choi approached her and invited her to have a drink with the others. Yuna offered to cover the cost of the several bottles of soju the squad ordered. Yuna toasted the team members on their excellent work in this instance. Leader Choi inquired shyly if Yuna will return to Seoul now that her mother's situation was resolved. "Do you want me to go back so eagerly?" Yuna asked in response. "Even though it was brief, I can see your dedication to your investigation work," Leader Choi stated with a dry laugh.
Leader Choi responded, "You are a surprising tough woman, I do hope we have more opportunities to work together." "Is that discrimination based on gender?" In jest, Yuna said. The team as a whole laughed and said that we were more motivated because of your leadership. Yuna chose to remain with the group after giving them a smile. Everyone was happy that she had decided to stay and keep working on the criminal cases.
On schedule the next day, the squad went back to work at the police station. Yuna was back to her serious, demanding detective self. She called a team meeting while holding the documents from the most recent violent case. She showed a picture of a victim who was found in a river, Kim Eun Hye.There may be a serial killer in the city. Yuna showed a few images of other victims on the projector while she described how each body had been wounded in the same area. As the body crumbled and was terribly mutilated, everyone watched with revulsion. One similarity is that all of the women had their tongues amputated. It implies that these atrocities are being committed by the same serial killer.
The team starts to talk to the forensic examiner, interviewing the jogger that first discover the body that will help to find clues about the recent crime. Yuna conducted a background check on Kim Eun Hye. She was a 22 years old woman working as a clerk in a company. She does not have any feuds with anyone and was described as friendly and approachable by her friends. She left her family in Seoul and came to Gangwon with her boyfriend Mr Park Rae Won. They were described as a pair of loving couple that was getting ready to get married by end of this year.
Mr Park was heartbroken and devastated at Eun Hye funeral. At the wake, everyone sympathized with Mr. Park and offered him consolation. Yuna chased after a strange man wearing a mask and all black who had appeared close to the funeral site, but she lost sight of him at the corner of the street. "I think this enigmatic man is connected to Kim Eun Hye's demise." Yuna told Team Leader Choi what she had observed.
The next day, Yuna delegated the duties and obligations to her team members. Yuna and Team Leader Choi went to the forensic lab to examine the evidence while Seung Lee and Hae Woo search into the mysterious identity of the man who was seen at Kim Eun Hye's funeral. Yuna told Team leader Choi, "It appears that the murderer has a strong dislike for women."
One of her acquaintances reveals that she once witnessed Eun Hye arguing with a man after work while Seung Lee interrogates individuals who know the deceased. "Have you listened to their remarks from that day?" The friend was asked by Seung Lee. I was standing a good distance away, so I couldn't hear what they were saying. However, the friend added worriedly, "I notice that the man seems to be very violent because he was grabbing Eun Hye's hand very hard." I was worried about the safety of Eun Hye. The following day, when I asked Eun Hye about what I had witnessed, she told me that her ex-lover had been trying to patch things up despite her repeated rejections of him.
After gathering the data, the team convened. It was well known that Song Jae Woo, Eun Hye's ex-lover, had met her at a church. However, Eun Hye requested a breakup as their relationship degenerated. Song Jae Woo continued to harass Eun Hye as she stalked her from Seoul to Gangwon. Yuna is certain that Song Jae Woo, Eun Hye's former lover, was complicit in the string of murders. They issue an arrest warrant for him.
Song Jae Woo had moved out of his rented apartment when Yuna and her team searched for his hiding place. They pieced together the hints found in the house and concluded that he lived in a remote location close to the countryside. When Song Jae woo got home, they ambushed the area. Song Jae Woo who thought the cops were hidden, attempted to strike back when he noticed Team Leader Choi. He tried to attack Team Leader Choi with a bat and flee. Yuna smacked him in the face and kicked the bat away. When the cops are preoccupied, Song Jae won tries to flee and throw anything he sees at them.
Unaware that Yuna was ambush-hiding behind the wall, Jae Woo attempted to leap over the balcony while on the run. As they lay on the ground, Yuna pursued Jae Woo and struck him in the face. They are followed by Team Leader Choi and the team, who assist in apprehending the suspect. They began interrogating Jae Woo after taking him to the police station. Jae Woo refused to answer any questions and was uncooperative.
Yuna obtained a forensic report from the victims' remains and accused him of five serial homicides. Finally, Jae Woo admitted that he did not conduct the murder and that he believed Park Rae Won, Eun Hye's lover, was responsible. "Are you telling the truth?" Yuna met his gaze and arched an eyebrow in query. Eun Hye and Park Rae Won met at the church, but she was unaware of Park Rae's evil side beneath his good-guy facade, Jae Woo said.
