The Detective
The narrative opens with a woman who appears uncomfortable as she relaxes on a couch. A loud bang on her door startled her, and she screamed for the "person" to leave her alone. When there was no more commotion, she opened her door to look around. She was startled to see a dark figure, and then she was flung out of the window.
Detective Yang is on a quest to apprehend the murderer, and he believes the perpetrator entered a bus covertly. He asked that the bus's engine be turned off and that everyone get off.
The person who set the victim's house on fire was caught by the detective. When the suspect was caught inside the bus, he was shocked to see a figure that appeared to be the victim departing. Detective Yang was reminded by a novice police officer not to smoke in the designated smoking area.
Sitting at the desk in the police station, the detective examines the victim's criminal history. An image of a girl was categorised as an unresolved mystery case. When he tries to light his cigarette with his lighter, it rapidly goes out. Something's not right. He is attempting to decipher the meaning of the lighting on his desk. Since everyone is busy with their jobs, he started on the additional criminal files that his subordinate sent him right away.
The inexperienced police officers were talking about the detective's acute intuition and capacity to identify specifics in crimes. Detective Yang entered the elderly man's home. Because of his position and the circumstances surrounding his death, he finds the facts of the victim's death odd.
The material was gathered by Detective Yang and the forensic team. Detective Yang observes something odd, despite the fact that it appears to be a normal death. He looks for the final phone call the elderly guy had before passing away. Because the elderly guy is right-handed, Detective Yang also noticed that the remote control was not in the proper position. He believes that someone entered before the elderly man died. He is adamant about identifying the caller of the elderly man.
The room was vacant when Detective Yang returned home. It was a sombre and dreary place. The happy memories of his wife's pregnancy and the time they spent naming their child came flooding back.
We don't know what happened to the once-happy pair. It was a normal day when Detective Yang left for work. The darkness in the house immediately following that scene seems to imply that Detective Yang was left alone to eat Jiajiangmyeon after an unfortunate incident. Detective Yang is acting strangely these days and seems to be lonely, as his coworkers have indicated.
Detective Yang is enamoured with Jiajiangmyeon and Ice Americano. His subordinate got him an iced coffee. They try to find a restaurant using the old man's phone number.
Detective Yang visited several restaurants before finding one that served noodles. He scanned the area with his keen eyes and saw something strange about the cook. The chef promptly made Jiajiangmyeon for him when he requested it. While he is eating his noodles, Detective Yang questions the chef of the restaurant—who also happens to be the owner—about the deceased elderly man. The individual linked his death to the restaurant because of the phone number he had received before passing away. The cook claims that the elderly man did order Jiajiangmyeon. But because of the distance, he didn't bring the noodles.
Detective Yang informed the guy of his findings at the elderly man's residence, including the Jiajiangmyeon sauce found on the delivery package, the television station that was on when the man was discovered, and the location of the remote control. All of these indicate that the old man's death was not a natural one. Detective Yang had a suspicion that he was responsible for the elderly man's death.
A motorcyclist was seen pursuing a woman on the road in the middle of the night. The rider was attacked by Detective Yang, who removed his helmet. Prior to his visit, the motorcyclist worked as the cook at the Jiajiangmyeon restaurant. He takes the man into custody. Detective Yang noticed that the woman had truly passed away as he looked up to see how she was doing. Her picture was in the police station's criminal file.
Detective Yang is saved from an impending vehicle accident by the enigmatic man I thought was a grim reaper. Detective Yang showed up at the light shop the next instant.
Detective Yang ran across Jang Won Yeong, the proprietor of the light shop, and Ji Young, the woman with the big piece of luggage. He started to doubt Ji Young after noticing some bloodstains on the floor. It was pouring, so he gave his raincoat to Ji Young. After she left the light shop, Detective Yang noticed something strange about it. Ji Young gazed at the out-of-service lightbulb before she left the store.
Detective Yang enquired if Jang Won Yeong had noticed an odd figure in the area. He's going to arrest him here. According to Jang Won Yeong, he didn't see him. Detective Yang examines one of the lightbulbs that goes out among the others that are still lit.
Drama Queen Review
Even so, this scenario still confused me a lot. I understand that there are references to both life and death in the light shop. There are lightbulbs that are still burning, but those that are dying are dead. There are other crime stories that caught my attention as well. In the initial scene, especially, a woman was flanked out of the window.
The entry of Detective Yang Sung Sik and his keen sense of crime have led me to suspect that Light Shop has a connection to unexplained crimes beyond magical elements. I believe that the mysterious person who is apprehending injustices may be a grim reaper. People were asking a lot of questions right now, like why these people had assembled in the lightshop. What are they looking for? Who is Detective Yang? How did his wife end up? What about the mystery cases involving a young girl that Detective Yang has in his drawer that have not yet been solved? And what exactly happens?
I'm also interested in learning why Hyun Joo seems to be disregarded in class by both her teacher and her peers. Why must she visit the light shop to get lightbulbs for her mother? What about the hospital patients, and who has truly perished in the drama? We are aware that there was a significant bus accident not long ago, and the patients are undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit. How are these people related, I wonder? Are the light bulbs a metaphor for these individuals? What is Detective Yang doing at the light shop, and why is Ji Young acting suspiciously? After the vehicle accident, is Detective Yang still alive or dead?
I'm interested to learn more in the upcoming episode because there are a lot of questions right now. How do you feel about Light Shop?
