Unmasking the Thief

As Qianmian Langjun attempts to flee, Su Ci delivers a swift kick, bringing him down. She tears off his mask, and her team secures the fugitive. A disgusted subordinate mutters, "Eww, I just kissed a man!" adding a touch of humor to the tense scene.

Pei Zhao approaches Su Ci to thank her, but she coldly turns away. Unbeknownst to the villagers, the intended sacrifice, a young woman named Dong Rushuang, has switched places with another girl. Dong, a skilled herbalist and poison expert, has her own plans.
Bound to a sedan chair, Dong awaits her fate as storm clouds gather ominously overhead. Su Ci arrives just in time, learning from the locals that the Sea Dragon King allegedly stole the relief silver. Chaos ensues as the storm intensifies, and villagers grow increasingly frantic.

Xie Beiming intervenes, rescuing Dong Rushuang amidst the commotion. Meanwhile, Su Ci and Pei Zhao fend off the enraged villagers. In the confusion, Pei Zhao’s young servant stumbles upon Xie and Dong. After an initial misunderstanding, they realize they share a common goal.
