Taiwan Severely Loves FT Island

Popular band FT Island has been taking Taiwan by storm.

Their song "Grown Up" from their "Severely" album hit number one on the country's K-Pop Singles chart and the Most Sold K-Pop Albums chart on G-Music's "Kuang Nan Record" and "eZPeer+". FT Island also reigned at top of the K-Pop music chart for MTV Taiwan.

The boys of FT Island just wrapped up their concert in Los Angeles which was a joint effort with CNBLUE. Their next task? Their Asian tour.

FT Island to Sing OST of Japanese Animation 'Ozma'

The band FT Island will participate in producung the original soundtrack of the Japanese Animation entitled "Ozma," their agency FNC Music said on February 17. FT Island will sing the opening song "Neverland." FNC Music explained, "'Neverland' is a fast rock song composed by band member Choi Jong Hoon."

"Ozma" is a work of Matsumoto Leiji, who is a popular animation producer with previous works including "Galaxy Express 999" and "Space Battleship Yamato", and it will air its first episode on March 16 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Japanese broadcasting station WOWOW. "Ozma" was produced in the 1980s, but it will be the first time introducing it to the public.

Idol bands FT Island and C.N Blue takes the Taiwanese music market by storm going up #1 and #2 on charts

Korean band groups takes the Taiwanese music market by storm.

Recently on Taiwanese famous music sites G-Music and Five Music, groups FT Island and C.N Blue are #1 and #2 on the charts. For the 3rd week of June, FT Island ‘Flower Rock’ and C.N Blue ‘Blue Love’ are up #1 and #2 respectively on the 2 music sites charts.

And SS501 new album ‘Destination’ is up #3 and #6 on G-Music and Five Music chart. ‘Flower Rock’ is FT Island’s latest single first released in Japan on 19th May, while C.N Blue 2nd minialbum ‘Blue Love’ was released in Korea on 19th May. And their album is released for the first time in Taiwan as licensed version.


Meanwhile, it seems that C.N Blue is doing very strong in the Taiwanese music market in other areas. The title song ‘Love’ off their ‘Blue Love’ album is up #2 on local telcom chart emome, and #3 on ‘Taiwan Mobile’.

FNC Music responded, “This is good results considering the strong competition from other idol singers in the market.”
