Fan fiction Chapter 11: Sang In and Ju Ri wedding

Ever since Gang Tae move over to Mun Yeong bedroom, Sang Tae has been staying alone in his room. Since he has been sleeping well without having nightmares in the middle of the night, Gang Tae does not need to worry about his elder brother. Gang Tae continue to study at college and work part time in the college office to earn some money for his daily expenses. Mun Yeung is taking her long break and is not in a hurry to work, despite having the thought of writing a new book. Sang Tae is working on another project with an author while waiting for Mun Yeong to make her comeback with her new book. Occasionally, they will visit Juri and her mother although their rooftop room has been occupied by Jae Soo now.

Today is a special day, Ju Ri and Sang In gathered everyone in the roof top balcony to announce their wedding. Everyone was so surprised by the sudden news. Sang In explained that his elderly father wished that he gets married and start a family as soon as possible. Juri shyly showed her engage ring to everyone as they congratulate the couple. They had a delightful dinner, and everyone was in a high spirit especially Juri Mum who was smiling from ear to ear. After dinner, Jae Soo raised his hand shyly and held Seung Jae hand. "I have something to announce. We are officially a couple too." Everyone cheered for the new couple and teased them. "I knew the both of you were hiding something. Are the both of you going to get married soon?" asked Mun Yeong in a teasing tone. "I would have saved enough for my wedding if you will purchase ten boxes of pizza whenever you patron my restaurant." replied Jae Soo with a wide grin. Mun Yeong rolled her eyes at him and replied, "Okay. I will keep that in mind." Sang Tae suddenly added in, "Mun Yeong is very rich. She has lots of money!" Everyone laughed heartily and Gang Tae nodded his head in agreement.

Mun Yeong joined Ju Ri who was sitting by herself after dinner. "How did Sang In oppa propose to you?" asked Mun Yeong curiously. "He just popped the question suddenly, and I agreed without giving it much thought, " said Ju Ri. "Wow…Sang In oppa is a dependable person and I am really happy for you," said Mun Yeong. They smiled at each other while Gang Tae and Sang In looked at them fondly from a distance. "My company has been doing well because of Mun Yeong books. I am really thankful for having the bestselling author as my work partner," said Sang In proudly. "I know Mun Yeong is a talented woman," said Gang Tae with a shy smile. "I have been working with Mun Yeong for so long and I have never seen her so happy before. The both of you heal each other wound and understand each other like a soulmate," said Sang In. "Hey, why are you leaving me out?" asked Jae Soo as he walked over. "How did you and Seung Jae get together?" asked Sang In. "We just naturally get together and dated after Sang Tae hyung and Ko Mun Yeong book recital. We discovered that we have many things in common and clicked very well," said Jae Soo.

Three weeks later, Ju Ri and Sang In held a simple outdoor wedding with the blessing of their loved ones. Juri was dressed in a beautiful white grown and Sang In wore a handsome black suit. While waiting at the bride room, Mun Yeong dressed in a simple pink dress, sashay into the room with a bright smile on her face. " Today you are the most beautiful bride. Other days, I am the most beautiful," said Mun Yeong with a teasing smile. "Stop teasing me. I am very nervous now, " said Ju Ri with an anxious smile. " I wish you and Gang Tae will live happily ever after like the fairy tale story, " said Ju Ri as she held Mun Yeong hand. "I wish my childhood friend all the happiness in the world too, " said Mun Yeong with a sincere smile.

The couple exchanged wedding vows and cut the wedding cake together, while everyone cheered on. The newlywed held a celebration for their wedding with a grand feast. "Do you want a wedding ceremony like this too?" asked Gang Tae. "Let's have our wedding at Serengeti," said Mun Yeong with a smile. "Are you serious?" asked Gang Tae. "Maybe a simple wedding in the future, with our son," said Mun Yeong while touching her tummy cheekily. Gang Tae laughed and shook his head while stroking Mun Yeong hair. "Let's take a photo together!" The photographer gathered everyone and snapped a nice shot to capture the moment for their wedding. After the wedding ceremony, the blissful couple thank the people who attended their wedding. Mun Yeong and Ju Ri hugged each other and whisper to each other's ear. "I am thankful for our friendship."

"The wedding photographs look so beautiful," said Juri to Sang In. "Thank you for marrying me. I am much older than you and I can't believe that you are willing to marry me," said Sang In. " Perhaps I always like a dependable man that is older than me. I reckon that good men like you and Gang Tae are hard to come by and I am glad to meet you through Mun Yeong,” said Ju Ri with a smile. Sang In hugged Ju Ri tenderly. "I will love you like how a father dotes on his daughter” said Sang In lovingly. “Stop that! I don't have a father figure in my life, but I don't need a father now. I need a husband!” said Ju Ri with a shy smile. Sang In kissed Ju Ri on the lips and replied, "Sure." 💋

Top Ten Best Onscreen Couple in the past ten years

What do you think of this list? I personally thought that It’s Okay to Not Be Okay will be in top 10. Given the buzz that surround the couple chemistry when it was first shown in Netflix. Unfortunately, the people in South Korea had a different opinion on this drama. I can understand that the people can be bias towards certain characters or artistes, but it was just wrong to disregard the effort of the actress just because of some controversy which was already proven to be untrue. People still believe what they choose to believe.

The couple shared the hottest and most passionate kisses. 😘

They even look so compatible onstage with matching clothes.

At the AAA awards, they were both presented the most popular actor and actress award. 🥇

Four years has passed, people forgot about the hype of It’s Okay to Not Be Okay. They only remember her controversy and the Nation Witch 🧙‍♀️. Now the new ship has sailed, and people are only looking at that glamorous 🚢 now. Is it Okay or Not Okay for you? Tell me in the comment below 👇

Bubble App 🫧

I was curious to find out  more about the bubble app after I saw many social media posting about Kim Soo Hyun messages to his fans through bubble private chat. After some research, I discovered that bubble app can be downloaded through google play store if you have an android phone or in App store if you are using an iPhone. I wondered what is the hype about this app and I decided to download one of them to find out more.

For those who are interested in the bubble app, you have to create a profile in the app and then they will recommend some Korean celebrities for you to follow. I tried downloading Gold Medalist Bubble app. Interestingly, you need to subscribe to the app at $5.98 per month. On top of that, you need to purchase tickets to have a conversation with the artiste that you like.

You may ask how does the app function? As far as I know, the artiste will share some picture or some messages that they want the fans to know. These are the pictures taken from Twitter, copyright to their rightful owner. We can see that the main objectives of these chats were mostly about publicity for Kim Soo Hyun upcoming project or the need to hype up his popular drama for as long as possible. Fans need to know that these celebrities, especially those with this level of popularity like Kim Soo Hyun had been specially trained and groomed by his management agency to be marketable to the general public. Our late Sulli from girl group Fx had mentioned this in her last interview that artiste like her are prone to public criticisms and hate because they are public figures. They know that the fans can be here for you now and the next moment, they may turn their back on you or even hurt you. She shared that Korean idols are carefully package by their agency to sell as a product to the public. We need to understand that fans are revenue to the entertainment agencies and even artistes themselves. They need to build on public opinion and support to survive in this cutthroat industry.

I had mentioned this before that all the fans have every right to support their favourite celebrities but it is important not to lose that rationality. We know at the back of our mind whether we are delusional or not, it is just work for these celebrities who were paid to engaged with their fans. These highly paid celebrities like Kim Soo Hyun were taught what to do and what to say for publicity. They knew how to make themselves appeal to their fans and these are the celebrities that are really successful in building their careers. They are really hardworking people who will learn all the trades in this field to stay at the top. It is the agencies job to create publicity or marketing stunt to attract attentions and the celebrities are the products that the company is promoting to the world. These entertainment companies are running a business so they would make sure that their investment is profitable at the end of the day.

It is a choice that fans make to subscribe to the bubble app. Therefore, they can’t complain if the artiste did not reply or respond to the messages after a long period of time. The artistes will perform their work duties when they send messages through the chat during their “free time”. The app is supposedly created to build rapport between the celebrity and the fans just like other social media platforms. However, the artiste can choose when to “work” and fans will still eagerly wait for their favourite celebrities to be online. In the world of digital media anything is possible and it is up to your imagination or interpretation of the messages. Just don’t get your hope up, or you will end up bursting the fantasy bubbles that the Korean entertainment world created. As I said before, everything is about business. You can choose to buy this fan service but that does not give you entitlement to demand from the artistes. Before you click the purchase button, please be prepared for what is happening and nothing will change even when you throw a tantrum and threaten to unsubscribe. These celebrities and their agencies are not going to be at your beck and call just because you subscribe the app and pay for the tickets. The entertainment companies had a upper hand in this matter and you have to pay to wait for your favourite celebrity to be online. At the meantime, you will still be paying for the app service every month even when the celebrities does not have any updates.

At the end of the day, life is pretty much about the choices we make with our life. It takes maturity not to take life so seriously and everything said about you so personally. People may have different opinion on you or even attack you through cyber bullying but they can’t break you if you don’t allow it to get into you. It is important to take a break and get your sanity back when things were too tough. It is a very stressful job to be a celebrity whose survival pretty much depends on the public interest. Therefore, it is important to love yourself and show to the world, especially the cyber bullies that you are living your life to the fullest without any fear. That is the best response to all the haters and criticism.

Fan fiction Chapter 10: Moon Brothers Birthday Celebration

Sang Tae had his dinosaur theme birthday party at Juri house. This was the first time so many people celebrated his birthday. It is always Gang Tae who will buy a small cake and sing a birthday song for his hyung birthday. This year Soon Deok decided to organize a birthday party for Sang Tae and prepared the food. Juri, Sang In, Seung Jae and Jae Soo decorated the living room with dinosaur balloons and banners. Mun Yeong specially bought a dinosaur birthday cake for her oppa. Whereas Gang Tae is in charge of bringing Sang Tae over here to give him a big surprise. Everyone sang a birthday song to Sang Tae who was visibly surprised. Sang Tae had an unforgettable birthday with his close ones who took time to celebrate his birthday.

Sang Tae hesitated to cut the dinosaur birthday cake and Mun Yeong suggested keeping the cake for herself. They ended up bickering while everyone looks on with pleasure. Gang Tae gave his hyung another dinosaur book to add on to his collection. While everyone was enjoying the cake and packing up the mess in the house, Mun Yeong sat beside Gang Tae and asked him what he wants to do for his birthday. Gang Tae replied," I had never thought of that, all these years I had never celebrated my birthday because I need to take care of my brother and we were busy moving house. Ever since our mother passed away, we never had seaweed soup. Jae Soo hyung will always bring a few carton of beer to our rented room and we ended up drinking the night away. What about you?" Gang Tae placed his arm around Mun Yeong shoulder. "Sang In oppa will treat me to delicious steak at a restaurant." said Mun Yeong with a smile. Gang Tae looking slightly jealous said, "I will cook the most delicious steak for your birthday!” While helping to wash the dishes in the kitchen, Sang In started sneezing a couple of times. "I wonder is anybody speaking bad about me?" Sang In asked. “Stop reading too much into it and continue to wash the dishes. We have many dishes to wash!" said Jae Soo. "Where are the rest of them?" asked Sang In. "They are watching cartoon with Sang Tae hyung at the living room. Stop talking and continue to work!” said Jae Soo in a stern tone.

A few weeks later during spring, it will be Gang Tae birthday. Mun Yeong decided to cook seaweed soup for Gang Tae. She took the cooking recipe from Juri mum; however, she has never succeeded in cooking the perfect seaweed soup. Time passed by very fast, Gang Tae birthday is coming soon. It was another ordinary day in college, Jung Hyun smiled brightly at Gang Tae when he walked into the classroom. "Why are you in such a good mood?" Gang Tae asked curiously. "Ji Wonnie and I had became closer after I rescue her from a group of gangsters that harassed her. We are meeting for dinner after school. Hyung, Happy Birthday to you in advance!" said Jung Hyun with a wide smile. "Thank you." said Gang Tae with a smile.

Late at night after closing, Gang Tae dropped by at Jae Soo pizza restaurant. "Want to have a beer?" asked Jae Soo. "What do you plan to do for your birthday tomorrow? It happened to be a weekend. You can bring Sang Tae hyung over to help me, while you go for your little date." said Jae Soo with a knowing smile. "I plan to bring Mun Yeong out for meal and go for a walk just like ordinary couple." said Gang Tae. "You are a sly fox! After getting what you want, you will just leave." commented Jae Soo. "Hyung!" Gang Tae tried to explain but Jae Soo stopped him. "I will be too busy spending time with Seung Jae too." They broke into laugher and clicked glasses. "Happy Birthday Gang Tae, I'm glad that you still remember your old friend," said Jae Soo with a wink.

The next day morning, Gang Tae woke up from bed, but Mun Yeong is not in his arm. He touched the bedsheet beside him and he could feel the warmth of the bed. After Gang Tae move to Mun Yeong bedroom, he will usually wake up earlier than Mun Yeong to prepare breakfast together with his hyung. It was only those rare occasion when Mun Yeong woke up earlier than him but she will snuggle in his arms instead of waking up. Gang Tae walked down the stairs wondering why Mun Yeong and Sang Tae did not wake him up in the morning. “Oppa can you help me taste the soup? Do i need to add in more salt?" asked Mun Yeong as she tried to coordinate her movement in the kitchen. "I think the soup taste horrible!" Sang Tae bluntly replied. "Oppa, can't you say it is nice for once?" asked Mun Yeong angrily. "It is really salty. I am not going to eat it!" said Sang Tae. "What are the two of you bickering?" asked Gang Tae as he walked down the stairs curiously. They smiled brightly at Gang Tae as he walked towards them. "Mun Yeong and I woke up early to buy some groceries and Mun Yeong prepare the seaweed soup for your birthday. Her soup tastes horrible!” Sang Tae grumbles. "Happy Birthday, Gang Tae-shi!" said Mun Yeong with a bright smile. "Happy Birthday Gang Tae ah!" Sang Tae said while looking away. Gang Tae went forward and gave the both of them a big hug. "This is the most awesome birthday I ever had,”  said Gang Tae . He felt blissful and happy.

"Just pour some water in the soup and it will taste better." said Gang Tae after he tasted a spoonful of the soup and added some water into the pot. Sang Tae arrange the cutlery on the dining table while Gang Tae bring the soup bowls to the table. Sang Tae sang an off tune happy birthday song while Mun Yeong commented that it is so cheesy but still join in with Sang Tae. After they ate the not so tasty seaweed soup, Sang Tae took out some money from his pocket and gave it to Gang Tae and Mun Yeong. "This is your pocket money, spend it wisely. If you don't have enough, don't worry I will give you more." said Sang Tae. Gang Tae accepted the money gratefully, "Thank you, hyung."

They drove Sang Tae to the pizza restaurant and drop him there with Jae Soo and Seung Jae. After that, Mun Yeong and Gang Tae went for their date at Sogeumsan Suspension Bridge. It was a meaningful place for the couple as they confirmed their relationship at this place. Gang Tae was wearing his usual blue shirt, a pair of Jeans and a pair of sports shoes, while Mun Yeong was wearing a green cap, green dress and a pair of white platform sneakers. They walked through the shaky bridge with a frightened Mun Yeong yelling and chasing Gang Tae at the back. After they reached the other side of the bridge, Mun Yeong link her arm with Gang Tae and took many selfies together. The sweet couple went to the barbecue restaurant for a meal and Gang Tae ordered many beef steak to Mun Yeong delight. Gang Tae helps to barbecue the meat while Mun Yeong wrap the meat in vegetable and feed them into Gang Tae mouth. They then took a stroll in the beautiful garden and Gang Tae picked some magnolia flowers for Mun Yeong. They reminisced about those days when they first met and fall in love. Gang Tae confessed that he had kept Mun Yeung in his heart all these years and her appearance stir up the emotion hidden in his heart. He had a tough time trying not to fall for her.

Mun Yeong was playing and chasing Gang Tae around the garden when she accidentally tripped on a stone and fall on the ground. Gang Tae turned around immediately and he wasted no time to carry Mun Yeong on his back and place her on a bench as he squat down and examines her wound carefully. He attended to her wound gently with worried eyes. “Are you okay?” asked Gang Tae in an anxious tone. “It was just a minor cut. Don’t worry I am fine.” Mun Yeong reassured Gang Tae. He stood up from the floor and stroked Mun Yeong hair with a sigh of relief. Gang Tae said to Mun Yeong gently,“don’t get hurt anymore.” “It is so nice to have someone worry about me” Mun Yeong replied playfully as she smiled sweetly at Gang Tae.

The sky was getting dark, Gang Tae and Mun Yeong decided to stay overnight at the cheap bed and breakfast guest house. Gang Tae gave a call to Sang Tae and informed him that they will be staying overnight in the guest room. Mun Yeong went out for a while and when she came back to the guest room, she was holding a small chocolate cake with a lighted candle in her both hands as she wished Gang Tae a Happy Birthday. “Mun Yeong ah, thank you for everything." said Gang Tae as he kisses Mun Yeong on the lips. They sipped some alcohol cocktails which the owner prepared for them and ate the birthday cake together while admiring the moon.

The next day when the sun shines brightly, Mun Yeong woke up in Gang Tae arms as he strokes her hair gently. "Good morning." They greeted each other with a smile and a peck on the lips. The couple left the guest room while holding hands together and drove back home. Sang Tae was already waiting for them at the doorstep and welcomed them. Mun Yeong show the flowers to Sang Tae and shared about their little adventure. "Mun Yeong ah how is your knee?" Sang Tae asked in a concern tone. "Oppa, it is just a minor cut,” said Mun Yeong. Sang Tae said to Mun Yeong, “Ko Mun Yeong, next time don’t run around, it is dangerous.” Gang Tae looked at the both of them with a smile on his face and thought to himself, "This is what a family is truly like.” ❤️
