Photos of Kim Hee Chul during military training revealed

The photos did little to diminish the singer's charisma

Despite being sick, Super Junior member Kim Hee Chul enlisted himself for national service on Sep 1. The 28-year-old, who previously cried on a variety show, expressed his reluctance to part ways with his fans, and took to his Twitter, promising he "will come back safely", before leaving for a four-week basic military training.

Hee Chul might have entered military camp, but fans of the singer could still to know how he was getting on. A few days ago, Korean Army Recruit Training Centre updated their blog with an entry titled, "Super Junior member Kim Hee Chul's military look", publicising the singer's latest pictures in the military camp.

In the photos, Hee Chul appeared to be much older than other trainees in the camp. During the pledging ceremony, Hee Chul, with a gun in hand, wore a military suit and had a serious and determined expression on his face.

Prior to his enlistment, Hee Chul had expressed confidently, "It [Army life] feels unfamiliar to me now; but I've heard army stories from Kang-in [Super Junior member], so I believe I can do this."

Fans, who saw the pictures, urged the singer to take good care of himself and promised to wait for his return. Hee Chul's enlistment into the army was postponed, after he injured his legs in a car accident five years ago. He is currently undergoing a four-week mandatory basic military training, before serving as a public service personnel for the next 23 months.

In other related news, Super Junior's leader Lee Teuk (Park Jung-su) announced that he "will be enlisting next year", during a press conference for the SMTOWN in Tokyo concert.
