Fan fiction Chapter 9: Ok Psychiatric Hospital

Director Oh Ji Wang visited Ok Psychiatic hospital after his retirement and meet up with Soon Deok and Juri at the hospital canteen. They were catching up on old times bonding over a meal. Director Oh asked how is his son Oh Cha Yong doing in the hospital? Juri said that he is more responsible and hardworking now. Despite being a little bit lazy at times, he does his work diligent after all there is nobody to back him up anymore. Director Oh nodded his head and smiled, it is about time his son grow up. “How is your relationship with him now?” asked Soon Deok worriedly. “We had mended our relationship as father and son. We even had a drinking session to talked about his past resentment when I was too busy with my work and neglected his feelings.” said Director Oh with a laugh. “Good that you had patched things up with your son. He is a good person, just that he is careless and thoughtless at work.” said Soon Deok. “That is why I was always worried about him. I hope you can guide him along.” said director oh pleadingly.  “Don’t worry so much, he is doing well.” said Soon Deok. “Where are you going after this?”asked Juri. “I am meeting my old friend.” said director oh with a grin. “Gang Tae Shi?” asked Juri. “Yes, it had been a long time since I last met him. I wonder how is he doing now.”

“Moon Gang Tae!” Director Oh waved at Gang Tae at the bench. “Hi, Director Oh how are you?” asked Gang Tae with a smile on his face. “Why are all of you still calling me Director Oh? Well, I am still getting used to having so much free time on my hands that I don’t really know what to do with it now.” said Director Oh with a shrug. “You should enjoy your retirement life. After all, you had devoted your entire life to caring for your patients.” said Gang Tae with a laugh. “That is probably why I have more time to catch up with my old friends. Life has been great for me. What about you?” asked Director Oh. “I am doing well in college and met many new friends.” said Gang Tae. “I am talking about you and Mun Yeong.” said Director Oh with a smile. Gang Tae replied, “ We are happy at where we are right now.” I can see that you are revealing your true colours now. When are you going to get married?” Director Oh teased him. “Not so soon. I will think about it after my graduation.” said Gang Tae with a shy smile. “I wonder when is my son going to settle down too?” Director Oh said with a smile.

“I heard from Juri that Cha Yong is your son. I did not expect it. I remembered that you intend to introduce Cha Yong to Mun Yeong. I am glad you did not matchmake them.” Gang Tae said with a nervous laugh. “ I can’t believe that you still held grudges over what I said the other time. It is just a test to see your reaction to make sure that I deduced your feelings correctly. However, if you do not have any intention to date her, I might matchmake them together.” said Director Oh with a laugh. Gang Tae lowered his head and chuckled,  “I supposed I will put up a fight with Cha Yong then.” Director Oh looked at Gang Tae in the eyes, “I’m so glad I did not matchmake them. I wouldn’t want my son to be beaten up like that jerk.” They broke into laughter under the beautiful sun facing the sea view.

“What are you going to do later?” asked Director Oh. “I’m going to wait for my brother and Mun Yeong after their book signing event to pay a visit to our mother’s tree.” said Gang Tae. “I am glad that you kept your promise to accompany an old man like me when you have the free time.” said Director Oh with a bright smile. Gang Tae laughed and said, “ I am indebted to you for the happy life that I am leading right now. You are like a father figure to me.” said Gang Tae with a bright smile. Director Oh tapped Gang Tae on the shoulder and said, “ Now I have gained another son!” They laughed in unison. Mun Yeong parked her car and walked into Ok Psychiatric hospital hand in hand with Sang Tae after the book signing event. When Sang Tae spotted Director Oh and Gang Tae at the bench, he ran over and greeted them. Mun Yeong followed behind him and greeted Director Oh with a polite smile. “How is the psychotherapy session that you have been attending with Director Lee? asked Director Oh. “It is a good psychotherapy session. Your mentee has outshone you in medical practice.” Gang Tae stopped Mun Yeong from talking. “I’m sorry Director Oh.” said Gang Tae apologetically. “It’s okay, Director Lee is indeed much skilful than me. I am sure he will be able to lead the hospital to a new height.” said Director Oh proudly. “Okay, it is time to visit my son now. We are going for dinner later. See you next time. Goodbye!

“It is so tiring to sign a few hundred books within a day! Mun Yeong ah I really admire you.” said Sang Tae as he put his thumb up. “Oppa, this is the first time you went for the book event with me. You got to get used to it because our next book will be a bestseller too.” said Mun Yeong with a beam in her eyes. Gang Tae placed his arm on her shoulder. “What is the title of your upcoming book?” Mun Yeong looked at Gang Tae with smiley eyes. She came closer to Gang Tae face and said with a wink, “It’s a secret.” Gang Tae looked at Mun Yeong lovingly and gave a quick peck on her beautiful lips. Sang Tae who was walking ahead of them gave a soft sigh.

“Omma, we are here to see you again!” said Sang Tae as he looked at his mum tree. “Gang Tae is now studying in college. Mun Yeong and I are going to publish another book. This time it is about our camping car trip” said Sang Tae excitedly. “Hyung, let’s water the plant together.” Gang Tae said to Sang Tae. After watering the plant, Sang Tae said he wants to take some picture of the butterflies which Director Oh said symbolises healing. “ Hyung, don’t wander away too far from us.” Gang Tae said with a smile. Mun Yeong looked at the family photo that was hanging on the branch of the tree. Gang Tae placed his arm around Mun Yeong. “Omma, we are living well now. This is Mun Yeong, your future daughter-in-law” said Gang Tae. Mun Yeong widen her eyes, “are you thinking about marriage now?” Gang Tae replied, “ We are not in a hurry to get married now. But you are already part of our family.” Gang Tae said sweetly. “Which means you do want to get married with me?” asked Mun Yeong innocently. “Of course, you are my future wife.” said Gang Tae as she hold Mun Yeong hand. Mun Yeong smiled sweetly at Gang Tae and gave a light peck on his lips.

“We are going to announce your upcoming book to the media. Everyone will be excited about your comeback!” said Sang In proudly. “Don’t be exaggerated. I am going to take my time to publish my new book” Mun Yeong said with a smile. “I am not rushing you. You can take your time but I am really looking forward to your new book” said Sang In. “Oppa, this book will be another bestseller and I am already thinking about the narrative now” Mun Yeong said confidently.

Which is your favourite Seo Yea Ji Drama?

While waiting for the casting news of Seo Yea-Ji, I decided to watch some of her previous drama. I knew Seo Yea-Ji from the popular Korean drama It's Okay to Not Be Okay and she was phenomenal in that drama. Therefore, I decided to watch Lawless Lawyer first which was broadcasted in 2018. She partnered with Lee Joon-Gi in this drama which make her more popular in Korea. We all know Lee Joon-Gi previous drama such as Moon-Lovers: Scarlet Heart so I was excited to see their parings in this drama too.

Trailer

Lawless Lawyer

Plot: Lawyer Bong Sang Pil (Lee Joon-Gi) establishes his own firm and hires a problematic attorney, Ha Jae Yi (Seo Yea-Ji). They work together to fight injustice while searching for clues pointing out to his mother's murderer.

My thoughts

The drama started off with a nice introduction of the characters and their acting was pretty impressive. The narrative took us to the background stories of Bong Sang Pil and Ha Jae Yi. I like the way Lee-Joon-Gi portray his struggles with his childhood trauma and the pain that he carried to adulthood. He witnessed his mother who was a righteous lawyer being stabbed to death in front of him when he was a child. He remembers his mother final words to him is not to trust anybody here and to leave their hometown to look for his uncle. She instructed him never ever come back again. Bong Sang Pil is a brave boy since he was young, and he vowed to become stronger when he grows up to seek revenge on the criminals. Seo Yea-Ji acted as Ha Jae Yi, she is feminist and a fiery lawyer who will stand up for justice even to the extent of offending her superior. She is very trusting towards people she thought she could trust but we see a growth in her character when she interacted with Bong Sang Pil. I like her freshness and bubbly image in this drama, and she has a simple down-to-earth styling in this drama. She has a badass attitude here when she fights back during dangerous situation. Her decisiveness and strong attitude are something that I admire about her character in this drama. Her childhood stories interlink with Bong Song Pil story and that is the way the scriptwriter wants to make that connection for their future love line.

Honestly, the drama was sort of unrealistic and exaggerated at times.  It was also illogical in terms of political complication and the scriptwriter simply forced certain things together just to keep the story going towards the end. I actually enjoyed the first few episodes more because while there were light-hearted moments, there were also a clear explanation of the motive and objectives. The storyline was engaging enough for me to look forward to the next episode. While some slapstick comedy falls flat at times in this drama, it was still quite interesting to watch. On the other hand, I was quite bored with Choi Min-Soo portrayal of Ahn Oh-Joo. It is not that he is a bad actor, I think he is charismatic in a mafia way, but his wicked facial expressions and tongue in cheek gets boring the more I see him onscreen.

Lee Hye-Young acting as the Judge Cha Moon-Sook was good, but I think the story should have kept us viewers in suspends when it comes to the main villain. The sayings, "do not judge a book by cover" can be applied to Cha Moon-Sook. She is just pure evil in this drama, and Lee Hye-Young nailed the character at ease.  The storyline was slightly above average in my opinion because I do like some action thrillers scenes. However, there is a lack of romance scene in this drama which i can understand because the focus is on justice and revenge. Lee Joon-Gi is a good actor but his pairing with Seo Yea-Ji looks more like siblings' love. They have some scenes together hinting of their brooming romance, but it does not gel well with the whole concept of the drama. The writers are forcing the love line towards the end which was a little cringe. They are certainly great partners in social justice, but they are not very convincing to me as life partners.

Trailer

Eve

Plot: When Lee La-El (Seo Yea Ji) was little, her father died unexpectedly. Powerful people were responsible for his death. Her family was destroyed soon after. Lee La-El decided to take revenge, and she prepared for the next 13 years. Her target is Kang Yoon-Kyum (Park Byun-Eun), who runs the LG group. Lee La-El implements her plan with the help of Seo Eun-Pyeong (lee Sang-Yeob).

My thoughts

Please note that the first two episodes of Eve have 19+ (NC16) rating which means the drama is only for matured audiences because of some sexual scenes. This drama also received a bad review because of those excessive sex scenes. In my opinion, Seo Yea-Ji act as a temptress, therefore it is natural that they include some bedroom scenes and some sexual suggestive movements. I was actually quite blown away by Seo Yea Ji appearance when she first showed up in the drama. She has that seductive look on her face and it does not seem forced at all. It is almost like she has mastered the art of seduction with her every moments and subtle expressions. However, I don't feel the chemistry between Park Byun Eun and Seo Yea-Ji. Some reviews says that it is because of Park Byun Eun lack of facial expressions. In my opinion, it is because he is trying to suppress his feelings since he is married to a wealthy chaebol family and has a daughter. However, the lack of expressions probably leads to many people commenting that they do not have any chemistry. On the other hand, Lee Sang Yeob looks more compatible with Seo Yea Ji. His character Seo Eun-Pyeong has always been protective of Lee La-El. He suffered the second lead syndrome which makes us pity his love for Lee La-El since we know that she will eventually falls for Kang Yon-Kyum and not him.

I actually enjoyed the drama but towards the end, it gets a little draggy and i was only looking forward to the lead actresses fighting with each other. We see how mad and bitter they were when they confronted each other. Yoo Sun portrayal of Han So-Ra was crazy and scary at the same time. Her facial expressions goes over the top at times but her explosive acting skills was one factor that motivated me to continue watching this drama. I would go as far as saying the female leads are the only ones that carried the drama on their shoulders. The storyline was a flop towards the ending which i don't intend to give any spoilers. It was just a typical way to end a drama which leave me with one question, " Is this supposed to be a revenge drama or a love drama?" It swayed away from the revenge plot which was the scriptwriter initial objective and head towards a bitter romance in the midway. In the end, it does not leave a great impression on the viewers as they failed to excel in any of these concept. I am fangirling Seo Yea Ji clothes and makeup styles here which show off her beauty. In order to show my support for actress Seo Yea Ji, I watched the drama again in Netflix but the storyline leave much to be desired since they do have a promising premiere.

Trailer

Save Me

Plot: Four young men come to the rescue of a former classmate whose family has been suck into the clutches of a religious cult and its charismatic leader. Han Sang-hwan (Ok Taec-yeon) is the only son of a corrupt politician, who tries to save Sang-mi from the cult. Baek Jung-Ki (Jo Sung-ha) is the charismatic leader of the cult. He is called the spiritual father. Suk Dong-chul (Woo Do-hwan) is a friend of Sang-hwan, who has the most fighting skills out of the group.

My thoughts

This is an amazing drama! If you have not watch it, I would highly recommend it. However, this drama is not for people who are faint-hearted because there were many violent scenes and it touches on sensitive topic. The first episode actually drew me into their storytelling by showing us  how the people in this town were brainwashed by the influential cult leader Suk Dong-Chul. He and his accomplices were so wicked and manipulative that I felt frustrated when the people in this small town were believing what they said even when it was morally wrong. I am sure the director and scriptwriter did their research on this topic, thus they were able to deliver the storyline realistically. While watching the drama, I felt so emotional for Sang Mi and her brother. They are really good kids, especially Sang-mi who is pure at heart but they were targeted the moment they move into this town. The most memorable scene is when Sang-mi family went to the chapel to meet the spiritual father and he laid his filthy hand on Sang-mi. I like the shocked expression of Seo Yea Ji and she really look traumatized by what he did.  It is like a family of lambs being ushered into a lion den. It was clear that Suk Dong-Chul has set his eyes on Sang-mi and intend to make her his spiritual wife!

I like the friendship of the four friends because they were righteous and willing to fight when the situation calls for it. Ok Tac-yeon is the main hero of the drama and he did a decent job in this drama. In my opinion, he is better at comedic scene than emotional scene. However, he did pretty well in this drama especially when his conflict with his friend Suk Dong-chul arises. There was a point when I hated him for "betraying" Dong-chul which caused him to be in jail. However, I do understand why he make that decision. I am glad that they managed to work things out and became friends again after his release. On the other hand, I really like Woo Dong-hwan acting here as he deals with emotional scenes much better. His grandmother death was such a huge blow to him and his father was missing at the same time. That makes my heartache for him because he had to go through so much at a young age. This drama is pretty heavy but it carries the message across clearly which warns us against false teachings. I can understand when Seo Yea Ji said that she was depressed when she filmed this drama. The theme of drama was really dark and it is like a never ending nightmares and people are still falling for such scheme to the point where they became obsessed. The ironic part is that it took four young men and a lady to fight the villains and save the whole town, while the adults are not there to protect their children.

Trailer

It's Okay To Not Be Okay

Plot: A road to emotional healing opens up for an antisocial children's book author and an employee in a psychiatric hospital. Moon Gang-Tae (Kim Soo Hyun) is an orphaned caregiver working at Ok psychiatric Hospital.  He struggles with self-esteem as a result of his past experiences and avoids having close relationships with anyone other than his autistic older brother Moon Sang-Tae ( Oh Jung-Se). Ko Moon-Young (Seo Yea Ji) is a popular children's book writer with antisocial personality disorder.

My thoughts

It's Okay To Not be Okay is the popular Korean drama that propel Seo Yea-Ji into stardom and solidified her status as a leading lady in Korean drama. It was a breakthrough drama which not only make Seo Yea-Ji a household name, she also became well known internationally due to the success of this drama. In every drama which features actor Kim Soo Hyun it will always be well-known internationally. This is an opportunity for Seo Yea Ji to show her acting chop to the world and her acting was phenomenal. The most memorable scene was when she stood in the rain, while holding on to the high heels. She was so happy that someone really cares for her when she was emotionally wounded, that was probably the point when her character really falls for Moon Gang Tae. There were also many iconic scenes and dialogue in this drama. Seo Yea-Ji is so gorgeous in all the designer clothes, hairstyles and makeup. She is the only fashion queen that can pull off all these beautiful style.

I would like to praise Oh Jung-Se for his acting skills because it is really difficult to portray a person with special needs and he was so good in this drama! He definitely deserved to receive the best supporting actor award. Kim Soo Hyun took on this drama after he finish his military service and he knows that Seo Yea-Ji and Oh Jung-Se characters in the drama will outshine his character. However, he decided to support them in their acting and choose to give them the limelight. He said that he used to consider roles solely for himself but for this drama, he chose to take a step back. As what he had emphasize on - this is a human healing drama! I am sure It's Okay To Not Be Okay has a special place in his heart and he also mentioned  many times that he was touched by the script. The troublemaker trio has amazing chemistry and it is really a masterpiece not to be missed!

Fan fiction Chapter 8: Romeo and Juliet

“Give me the laptop and I will write it myself!” Do Hui Jae looked annoyed at Author Kim. She took over the laptop from Author Kim and started writing her biography. “This biography will be bestseller of all times; I can’t believe that I will still be famous even when I am locked behind bars!” “I will let Ko Mun Yeong know that I can control everything, and she will never get rid of me.” Do Hui Jae gave an evil laugh. Author Kim was surprised by her crazy antics. “Do you really want to destroy your daughter?” Author Kim asked hesitantly. “Of course, I can create and manipulate her and at the same time, I can destroy her everything too! If I can get out of this Jail, I will definitely make Moon Gang Tae choose either his elder brother or Ko Mun Yeong. It was so fun to see how he will make that decision. What do you think?” Do Hui Jae asked Author Kim. “Maybe Moon Gang Tae will kill himself instead of choosing and Ko Mun Yeong will kill herself too” Author Kim replied. “Like Romeo and Juliet? That will be so interesting!” Do Hui Jae gave a smirk.

When Author Kim returned home, she was still thinking about the meeting with Do Hui Jae. “She is an evil witch for sure, I can’t believe how much she wants to destroy her own daughter. She must be a crazy psychopath!” Do Hui Jae thought to herself. “Finally, it is done, I am glad that I don’t need to visit that psycho anymore, she gave me goosebumps.” Author Kim spoke to Suicide bomber on the phone. After she put down the phone, she opened the laptop and read the biography that Do Hui Jae typed into the document.

Book title: Do Hui Jae Biography

I was born in a prestigious medical family. My father is a well-established brain surgeon, and my mother is a highly recognized plastic surgeon. I have always been pressured to be a top medical student ever since I was born in that family. My parents always pretended to be a role model couple in the public eye, but they fight vigorously whenever they are at home.  My dad had an extramarital affair, and my mum always beat me up to vent her frustration in her failed marriage. She will always pull my hair and lock me up in the room. I suffered verbal and physical abuse since I was four years old. In order to please my parents and stop them from abusing me, I always pretended to be a good and obedient daughter. How naive was I when I thought that it will stop my mother from abusing me, but it only got worse in the end. My father was always not around, and I was solely bought up by my mother. I started to kill small animals such as a bird or a stray cat and a dog to vent my hatred. I felt powerful and in control whenever I torture these helpless animals.

At the age of eighteen, I ran away from home because I can't live up to the expectation of being a top student in the medical field. That was when I met Mun Yeong father Ko Dae Hwan, and it all started out very well and I look forward to a happy married life. He treated me like a queen initially and gave me all the riches in the world. However, I felt empty in my heart because he was always not around and one day I realized that he does not truly love me. He objectifies me as a beautiful trophy that he had bought home and kept me trapped inside the castle which he had built. After I gave birth to Mun Yeong, I suffered from severe depression and started to write my novels. I was addicted to writing day and night because I felt in control of my life! I can kill any characters in my story, it felt so good to step on those weaklings! When Mun Yeong was twelve years old, my husband was diagnosed with brain tumor and dementia, I actually don't feel anything at all. He knew what I did with Mun Yeong all along, but he has never intervened or protect her. I knew that he was afraid of me and always run away from problems just like my father. We don't love each other and was trapped in a meaningless marriage.

The housekeeper that I hired had the audacity to advise me to send Mun Yeong to a psychiatrist. Only weaklings like her needed help and I can easily kill her like how I kill a helpless animal. Unfortunately, a few days later my horrified husband discovered that I killed that housekeeper. He tried to kill me for the first time when he pushed me down the staircase. My head knocked on to the floor as I rolled down the stair and blood was gushing out of my head. He carried me to the basement and locked me there. He said that the next day, he will put me into a huge travel bag and throw my corpse into the river. Shortly after he left, I saw Mun Yeong opened the door with a key and saw me laying on the floor in a pool of blood. She was in utter shock, and she left the door wide open when she turned around and ran back to her room. In my semi-conscious state, I got up with all my strength and wrapped my head with a bandage. I was a medical student, so I took a mannequin with me when I left home. It was a perfect plan to mislead my husband to assume that the mannequin was me. He has dementia and brain tumor so he will be deceived by the bag. I placed the mannequin inside that huge travel bag which he always used for fishing. After I placed the bag in the basement, I took my handphone and the house keys from the study room. It was after midnight; I quietly sneaked out of the house and called my father.

My parents were completely shocked to see me badly injured near my house and I almost fainted again. Just before I lost conscious completely, I was sent to my father hospital for treatment. I still remembered how cold the hospital bed was, and I vowed to come back for revenge once I recovered. Due to my head injury and a crack on my face, I was literally disfigured. I was in the hospital for a year and went through multiple plastic surgeries to look like a human again. It took me ten over years to completely recovered from the trauma. I was addicted to plastic surgeries and went through many procedures. One day, my mother accidentally killed a patient who came for plastic surgery and in a bid to cover her crime, she make me look exactly like her and gave me a new identity. My mother called me her twin sister and now I became Park Haeng Ja. My parents send me to study nursing and after graduation, I worked my way up to be the head nurse. I was getting used to living a double life as Park Haeng Ja and I like living with a new identity now. However, I still remembered that I need to seek revenge on my husband. When I read my daughter Fairy Tales story The Monkfish, I realized that I missed her so much. This book was her greatest failure, but I love this book because it was writing about me. I am curious about how she lives her life after I went missing.

I tracked down my husband and daughter whereabout and found out that my husband was admitted in Ok psychiatric hospital. I applied as a head nurse in that hospital and thought of killing him with my own hands. However, it makes me happier to see him suffer and being torture by his illness. That was when I decided not to kill him and play with his mind instead. I knew that Mun Yeong was physically abused by her father after I went missing, and he almost killed her.  I felt so proud that Mun Yeong disowned her father and let him suffer alone. I thought of reuniting with my daughter when I went to Seoul. However, she did not recognise me at the hospital recital hall. I followed her and knew that she rescued that little girl. I was so disappointed that she did not kill that mental patient. It meant that she has not become a monster like me!  Therefore, I helped her to accomplish her incomplete task by giving the patient the streak knife to kill himself. I decided to lure Mun Yeong back to her hometown by using her father as an excuse so that I can teach her to be cruel personally. I was so disappointed that she came back to the hometown because of Moon Gang Tae! I taught her to be strong and tough ever since she was born! Moon Gang Tae make her soft and fragile and I hated to see her transformation. I decided to play along and manipulate them using my own method.

I knew my husband and daughter were terrified of my presence, so I made used of my crazy fan Park Ok-Ran to play with their minds.  My foolish husband still believe that he placed my corpse in a bag and threw into the river! Either his memory failed him, or he stubbornly make himself believed that he had killed me! kekeke! Surprisingly, my fan followed exactly what I told her to do like a string puppet and I had so much fun laughing at him that I don't intend to reveal my identity so soon. When Park Ok-Ran was of no use to me, I decided to kill her with my pen and dump her body in the river. The final straw was when I saw Mun Yeong became closer to the Moon brothers. I knew I had to do something to separate them as soon as possible. They were Romeo and Juliet because of their ill-fated love, and there is no way they can be together. However, I was wrong because Mun Yeong and the Moon brothers were so happy living in that cursed castle. They won't be happy for long because I have the key to that house. I want to reclaim my final draft and my darling daughter! Nobody can snatch her away from me! Therefore, I plotted to draw my psycho butterfly on Sang Tae painting while director Oh went for an overseas medical business trip. Who knows the security camera better than me? After I revealed my identity, I intend to either kill myself or Moon Gang Tae because I want Mun Yeong to live in hell. She can never live happily! My parents went to the prison too after I reported their wrongdoings and crimes to the police. Moon Gang Tae and Ko Mun Yeong should have a bad ending like Romeo and Juliet too!

The end

Author Kim closed her laptop when she received a call from Sang In. "Author Kim, do you know that Ko Mun Yeong have been reading your stories? Although she never admits it, she gave good reviews at the comment section. You should see it for yourself" said Sang In. "Stop defending Ko Mun Yeong because you are her partner," said Author Kim as she hangs up the phone. Author Kim was pondering about this matter as she opened her laptop to check the book review page. Surprisingly, she saw Ko Mun Yeong giving good reviews on her work. On the other hand, Sang In had arrived at Seoul and met up with the suicide bomber. "Are you going to bribe me with the money stuffed inside the boxes of packet drinks?" asked suicide bomber. "No, I will not do bribery again, but I warn you if you ever do anything to harm Mun Yeong, I will make you pay for it!" said Sang In. "Why are you so concerned about her? Do you have a thing for her?" suicide bomber asked sheepishly. "No, she is a precious friend to me, and I know what you and Author Kim intend to do. I am here to stop your revenge plan!" said Sang In. Suicide bomber raised up his hands and surrendered, " Okay I will stop what I am doing."

"Ring! Ring!" Ko Mun Yeong picked up the phone. "Ko Mun Yeong Sunbaenim, I am sorry for trying to plot a plan to harm you with suicide bomber and Author Do. Instead of publishing Do Hui Jae biography, I will choose to send it to you through email. Sang In oppa had explained to me about the misunderstanding between us. When I thought of our first encounter, I do deserve to be scolded for plagiarism, and I should not blame you for being harsh on me. I promise to be a good children book writer, and I will not let you down again. "Okay." Ko Mun Yeong said with a smile. She put down her phone and opened her email. She read through the biography with Gang Tae and threw the biography into the bin after reading it. "Why did you delete her biography?" asked Ganga Tae. " It is not important anymore. You and oppa are my family now so we should look ahead instead." Mun Yeong said with a smile. Gang Tae placed a hand on Mun Yeong shoulder and nodded his head.

"Why are you not publishing the book? The whole world should know about how I murdered Moon Sang Tae mother! Moon Sang Tae should know about the truth! I am sure everyone is hiding the truth from him! I want to ruin my daughter happiness!" Do Hui Jae screamed at Author Kim. "We do not have a common goal now because I do not want to be an evil witch like you. I don't want to destroy Ko Mun Yeong happiness and cause Sang Tae oppa another trauma." Author Kim said with a smile on her face. "Just let it go and forgive others, and you will become a happier person. But I doubt you will ever understand this wisdom. You deserved to stay behind the bars for the rest of your life." said Author Kim as she signals to the prison guard that she is leaving the visitor room. "No, I want to be famous again! I want my life back!" Do Hui Jae desperate cries echo behind the prison door.

Next chapter: What is happening at Ok hospital? Will we meet director Oh again? How is his retirement plan? Look forward to Ko Mun Yeong glamourous comeback as our famous children book author!

Fan fiction Chapter 7: The Murder of the Witch of the West

“Do Hui Jae Sunbae I am Author Kim Ji Hye, and I am here to talk to you about writing a biography of your life” said Ji Hye with a smile. “I don’t know you and why should I work with you on my biography?” asked Do Hui Jae with a smug. “You look like Author Ko Mun Yeong who is also full of herself” exclaimed Ji Hye. “We do look alike. She got my face, my body, my soul, everything about her was created by me!” Do Hui Jae said proudly. “Don’t you want to teach your daughter a lesson for abandoning you?” ask Ji Hye with a smile. “Yes, I do want some revenge, and I know you are going to use my biography as a prove to the world that Mun Yeong has antisocial behavior. She will be seen as a threat to the society. Therefore, all her books will be taken off the shelves just like me” Do Hui Jae said with an evil laugh. “Do Hui Jae Sunbae, you are so clever, this is how I planned to drag her down the mud!” said Ji Hye with a smug. “You must have hated her so much, what has my daughter done to you to deserve that?” wondered Do Hui Jae. “Well, she had offended me with her harsh words, and I want to get back at her. Do Hui Jae Sunbaenim, I believe we have a common goal now” said Ji Hye with a beam in her eyes.

“I know my daughter will become like me. She has an antisocial personality disorder. I used to kill small animals when I was a child too. She was taught by me to be a strong person and treat every living thing with cruelty.” said Do Hui Jae. “Is that why your famous novel “The Murder of the Witch of the West is full of cruelty and violence? asked Ji Hye. “A person can only become strong if she lives her life without any emotions. I am a psychopath, who is obsessed with the feeling of being strong and invincible” said Do Hui Jae with a smirk. “Can you tell me about your childhood?” asked Ji Hye as she took down notes with her voice recorder. Do Hui Jae hesitated and said, “Well, that is all for today. I will ask for you again when I am in a good mood. “But we still have time for discussion!” Ji Hye stated. Without looking back, Do Hui Jae went back to her prison cell with the officer.

“I heard from the prison officer that Author Kim Ji Hye has been visiting Do Hui Jae in the prison and they are going to publish a biography about her life. According to reliable sources, Do Hui Jae is going to work with the suicide bomber to bring you down” said Sang In anxiously. “There is nothing I can do to stop people from making assumptions about me. Let them gossip if it makes them happy?” said Mun Yeong with a smirk. “I can’t believe that woman is still haunting you even when she was being locked up in the prison cell!” Sang In said furiously. "Stop talking about that woman, if you have nothing else to say, you can leave now, I need to take a rest" Mun Yeong said wearily. Sang In spoke to Seung Jae on the phone, "Seung Jae ah, please keep an eye on Ko Mun Yeong while I need to run some errands in Seoul. Before you hang up the phone, I just want to thank you for all your hard work and dedication." Sang In said with a wide grin. "Sunbaenim are you diagnose with any terminal illness? Why are you being so polite and praises me all of a sudden?" Seung Jae was surprised. "Seung Jae ah, I am just a human that is trying to be a better person" said Sang In with a gently smile.

Late at night, Mun Yeong was holding Mang Tae in her hands while sitting on the bed, lost in her own thoughts. Gang Tae came into the bedroom and hugged Mun Yeong from the back. He whispered into Mun Yeong ears, “what are you thinking now?” Mun Yeong smiled and replied, “nothing.” Gang Tae tightened his arms around Mun Yeong and said, “I heard from Sang In about what happened. Mun Yeong ah, I just want you to know that I will protect you no matter what happens.” Mun Yeong smiled softly at Gang Tae.

“Good morning Mun Yeong ah, we woke up at 6am in the morning to clean up the house and prepare breakfast” said Sang Tae. Gang Tae served a table of warm and delicious foods on the table with Mun Yeong favorite eggs omelets and braised sauce quail eggs. Mun Yeong sat down at the dining table with the Moon brothers. "Before we start eating our breakfast, I would like to make an announcement. Next week onwards, I will start on my new book about our camping car adventure. Oppa, since you have completed your illustration with Author Kim, we can work together for our next book" Mun Yeong said with a bright smile. "I miss working together with my best friend too" replied Sang Tae as he looked away with a smile. "Looks like I will be neglected when the both of you start working together" said Gang Tae with a sulky pout. Laugher could be heard in the morning at the dining table.

Behind the cold prison cell, Do Hui Jae was staring at the tiny window near the ceiling. She smiled to herself like a crazy woman. "Mun Yeong ah, you must be having the best time of your life now. How can you forget your mother who love you so much? My darling girl, you are me." Do Hui Jae mumbled to herself as the other prisoners looked at her with fears in their eyes.  "Isn't she the crazy woman that went for plastic surgery and hide her real identity to plot revenge on her husband and killed another woman in the past?" I heard that when she was arrested by the police, she showed no remorse at all. The Moon brothers suffered so much because of her and her novels is all about killing people. Another prisoner said, "That was a cold case which happened many years ago and it was dig out recently to return justice to the victim family. Her crimes were written all over the news articles and Do Hui Jae books were immediately taken off the shelves.  She is serving life sentence in the prison for all the crimes that she had committed." The prisoners gossiped behind her back.

On the other hand, Author Kim was sorting out the information and typing them into a draft, as she lifted up her spectacles. The Suicide Bomber called her on the phone and asked if the final draft was ready for printing? "Don't worry, I had everything needed to bring Ko Mun Yeong down!" Author Kim gave a sinister smile.

Next Chapter:  Do Hui Jae reveal about her childhood abuse and how she escapes from the basement with head injuries. Are they going to publish the biography? Will the public know about Mun Yeong antisocial personality disorder?

Fan fiction Chapter 6: Pretty Witch and Evil Witch

“Sang Tae oppa, we had completed the last chapter of our book” said Author Kim with a smile. Sang In came into the work room and congratulated the duo. “The two of you make the best team.” Sang Tae glanced at Sang In and looked at the other side of the room. “No, I make the best team with Ko Mun Yeong.” Sang In gave an awkward smile and looked apologetic to Author Kim. “It’s okay, as long as I think I make the best team with Sang Tae oppa.” Sang Tae insisted, “I am not your oppa. I only have a younger sister and brother who are waiting for me at home.”

“Mun Yeong ah, I am back.” Author Kim followed Sang Tae at the back to the cursed castle. She raised her eyebrows and asked, “This is where our famous Ko Mun Yeong live?” Sang Tae turned around and said, “Thank you for sending me home. You may leave now.” Author Kim stood in front of him and said, “Sang Tae oppa, why don’t you invite me to your house? We should have a small celebration for our project.” Sang Tae hesitated and looked away. “Oppa, I heard your voice at the door.” Mun Yeong opened the door and was surprised to see Author Kim.

“Hi, let me introduce myself. My name is Kim Ji Hye, said Author Kim with a bow. Ko Mun Yeong and Author Kim sat at the opposite side of the dining table. Sang Tae sat in the middle of the table stealing glance at the both of them. "Oppa, why don't you go to your room first? I have something to say to Author Kim", said Mun Yeong, Sang Tae nodded, and he immediately got up of his seat and went up to his room. Mun Yeong slowly turned her eyes to Author Kim with a smirk, "What is your motive here?" Author Kim gave an innocent smile, " Ko Mun Yeong Sunbae, what motive do I have except to see where our famous Author Ko Mun Yeong live in? I must say that this castle looks so spectacular!" Mun Yeong took out a bag of cigarettes from her pocket and placed a cigarette in her mouth. She almost light up the cigarette when she suddenly remembered that she had promised Gang Tae to kick the bad habit. She took out the cigarette in her mouth and threw it away. Mun Yeong looked at Author Kim with a sarcastic smile, "Stop pretending to be nice!" Author Kim looked at Mun Yeong with an evil laugh, " Okay, I shall not pretend anymore. Do you remember me? I used to be your fan Kim Ji Hye and I even showed my first draft to you as an intern."

"Do I need to remember you?" said Mun Yeong with a smug. Burning with anger, Author Kim remarked, "Ko Mun Yeong, you are still as arrogant as three years ago! I remembered when I showed you my first writing, you criticized my work for lacking in originality. Yes, I was guilty of plagiarism then, but you spoke too harshly of my work that I can never forget what you said to me!"  Mun Yeong stood up from the table and replied, "If you have finish telling me about your story, you may leave. The door is right in front of you.” Trembling with anger Author Kim spoke in a threatening tone, "I will make you regret what you had done to me!"

After Kim Ji Hye left, Mun Yeong gave a phone call to Sang In and told him what happened. "I can't believe Author Kim Ji Hye still held grudges over what you said about her work three years ago. I'm sure she does not know that you have been following her work over the years and gave good constructive comment under her book review. "There is no need to let her know. Just be careful that she does not harm Sang Tae oppa in any ways" said Mun Yeong.

"Juri shi, do you have time? Let's have a drink" asked Mun Yeong. She is holding a bottle of red wine as she called Juri on the phone. Juri and Mun Yeong went to the roof top with two wine glasses. "Juri ah, do you think that I am an evil bitch?" asked Mun Yeong after she drunk five glasses of red wine. Juri laughed at Mun Yeong, " Yes you are a bad bitch! Why are confessing it now? But do you know something? I can't seem to hate you. Do you know why?" asked Juri. "Because I am pretty?" Mun Yeong replied. Juri nodded her head and laughed, " Yes, you are a pretty witch, not an evil witch! You just do not want people to see through your fragility and always pretend to be tough" said Juri with a shrug. Mun Yeong gave a forced smile and asked, "Double-faced bitch that is a nice comeback, have we patch things up?" Juri took a sip of the red wine and said, "Of course. Otherwise, I won't be sitting next to you."

At the pizza restaurant, Jae Su and Gang Tae were having a drink after they closed the restaurant for the day. "Gang Tae ah, it had been so long ever since we have a drink together and catch up on our life" said Jae Su with a wide smile. "Hyung, it seems that your restaurant is doing very well. As expected, you are a good businessman. " Yes, I have been doing well and I am glad that you are leading a better life now. I used to advise you to avoid Ko Mun Yeong but now whenever I see that you are so much happier with her, I feel happy for you too" said Jae Su proudly. "Hyung, I heard that Seung Jae shi has been coming to your pizza restaurant regularly, are the both of you dating now?" asked Gang Tae. Jae Su shyly replied, “We are at the stage of knowing each other better.” "Speaking of which, where is Ko Mun Yeong?" asked Jae Su. "Mun Yeong dropped me a text message and said that she will be hanging out with Juri" Gang Tae replied. "I hope they will not get into a fight again" Jae Su exclaimed. They broke into laughter and agreed that at the end of the day they are still good friends.

It was late at night, Kim Ji Hye was flipping through Ko Mun Yeong book as she revealed an evil grin. A flashback to three years ago when Author Kim was still an Intern in Sang Sang Publishing Company. “Ko Mun Yeong Sunbaenim, this is my first children book.” Author Ko handed her draft to Ko Mun Yeong. “Is this plagiarism? It belongs to the rubbish bin. Rewrite it again!” Ko Mun Yeong threw the draft into the bin without giving her a second look. Author Kim left the office with tears in her eyes as she vowed to take revenge on her. “Ding, Ding! She looked at her handphone message from a person called Suicide Bomber. It says, "Park Haeng Ja is Do Hui Jae. Her mother is serving her time in the prison right now." Maybe I should pay her a visit soon, Kim Ji Hye thought to herself with a smirk. At the prison cell, where Do Hui Jae was serving her time in prison, she was reading the news article about her arrest and the picture of Ko Mun Yeong. She smiled to herself and said, "My dear daughter, you can never get rid of me!"

In the darkest night, a sniffing sound could be faintly heard from Mun Yeong bedroom. Gang Tae who was about to sleep in the other bedroom with his brother immediately got up from bed and rushed to her. Ko Mun Yeong is suffering from sleeping paralysis again. He grabbed Mun Yeong by her shoulders and lifted her up from bed. Mun Yeong grabbed Gang Tae shirt tightly as she sobbed uncontrollably." Gang Tae hugged Mun Yeong in his arms and consoled her. "Mun Yeong ah it is just a dream. I am here for you." He gently stroked Mun Yeong hair and laid her down to rest on the bed after she calmed down. Gang Tae stayed with Mun Yeong in bed till the next day morning. The sunlight shone into the bedroom and Mun Yeong opened her eyes and saw Gang Tae looking at her worriedly. " You had a sleep paralysis last night, what happened?" asked Gang Tae. " I dreamt of my mother, and she said that she will come and get me!" Mun Yeong cried.  Gang Tae hugged Mun Yeong in his arms and said, " Mun Yeong ah, hyung and I will always protect you. We are a family."

Next Chapter: Kim Ji Hye visit Do Hui Jae in the prison. What will she reveal? What is the suicide bomber, Author Kim and Do Hui Jae plotting to harm Mun Yeong? What is going to happen to Ko Mun Yeong and the Moon brothers?

Fan fiction Chapter 5: The Bomb and her Safety Pin

"Why should I help you deliver the love letter to her? What if Mun Yeong gets the wrong idea? She will kill me if she ever finds out!" said Gang Tae. "Hyung, Mun Yeong Unnie is not studying in this school, and you know there are so many men waiting in line to date Jiwonie. He looked at Gang Tae with puppy eyes. “Look at me, I am just an average joe!" Gang Tae shook his head. “I will just pass this letter to her. Other than that, I will not do anything to help you!" Gang Tae said reluctantly. "Thank you hyung! If I ever succeed in dating her, I will..." Before he could finish his sentence, Ji Won had walked towards them with a smiley face. Jung Hyun pushed Gang Tae in front of him and hide behind the pillar. "Hi, my friend here asked me to pass this letter to you." Jiwon took the letter with both hands and gave a shy smile. " Thank you for the letter" said Ji Won. "No, this letter is not from me!" Gang Tae tried to explain but Ji Won had already walked back to her classroom. Gang Tae turned around and look at Jung Hyun who gave him an apologetic look.

"Mun Yeong ah, are you coming back to work at Sang Sang publishing company?" asked Sang In. "I am still on my break, and I don't have any story to write at the moment." Sang In tried to convince Mun Yeong to come back to work since Gang Tae is busy with his college life and Mun Yeong should be quite bored staying at home. "I am actually thinking about writing my next book, but I still need some time to sort out my thoughts." said Mun Yeong. "Now if you are satisfied with my answer, can you get out of my house?" Mun Yeong pushed Sang In out of her house. "Sure, as long as you continue to write, I will keep waiting for you!" Sang In exclaimed as he exits the house excitedly. "I look forward to your next book!” Sang In said with a wide smile. Mun Yeong send Sang In off and close the door. She looked at her watch with a wide smile. "Gang Tae should end his class soon, should I give him a surprise by appearing at his school unannounced?' Mun Yeong thought to herself.

"Hyung!" Jung Hyun tapped on Gang Tae shoulder. "Looks like Ji won is calling you." Gang Tae turned around and was puzzled to see her. I read your love letter and was pretty impressed. she gave the love letter back to Gang Tae. When Gang Tae turned around to find Jung Hyun, he had already disappeared. "I supposed you had mistaken, the person who wrote to you the love letter is my friend Jung Hyun" Gang Tae tried to explain to Ji Won. "Really? But I only see you right now!” Ji Won stated. When Gang Tae open the letter, it says " Jiwonie you are my destiny."  Gang Tae was dumbfounded. "Anyway, I am here to tell you that I like you too." said Ji Won shyly and she left with a skip in her steps.

"Look at what you did to me?!" Gang Tae asked angrily. "Hyung I am sorry, I didn't know that she will misunderstand, I will explain it to her. I ran away because I was so nervous when I see her and when she came to find you, I thought that she is going to reject me." Jung Hyun tried to explain. "Now I am in deep trouble, and you have to take all the responsibility!" Gang Tae exclaimed. "Okay hyung, don't be mad at me. I know I am in the wrong and I will try to rectify the situation." Jung Hyun reassured him.

"Gang Tae Oppa!" Ji Won called out to Gang Tae at the hallway to the school entrance. " I am sorry it is my classmate Jung Hyun...." Ji Won stopped Gang Tae from talking. "Gang Tae oppa, I heard that you already have a girlfriend. But I am willing to compete with her as long as you are not married, we all have equal chance. I have confidence to win you over said Ji Won with a smile. "What makes you think that you can compete with me?" said a woman with a low threatening voice. When Gang Tae turn around, he saw Ko Mun Yeong looking extremely furious. "Is that your girlfriend?” Ji Won asked innocently. Refused to back down, Mun Yeong stepped forward and intend to fight with her. Gang Tae immediately turn around and held on to her shoulders. "Mun Yeong ah count to three when you can't control yourself" Gang Tae said in a desperate attempt to calm her down. Jung Hyun who was hiding behind the pillar ran to Ji Won and pulled her away to the other side of the school compound. After listening to Jung Hyun explanation, Ji Won felt like a fool. “I really thought that Gang Tae oppa gave me this love letter because he likes me! Why didn’t you explain to me earlier?!” Jung Hyun lowered his head in apologies, “I’m sorry Ji Won. I was afraid of rejection.” Ji Won gave him a death stare and walked away.

Mun Yeong took a deep breath and pushed Gang Tae hands away. She turned and walked away without looking back. Gang Tae ran after her and tried to explain, but she won't listen to him and gave him an angry stare. Mun Yeong walk out of the school and ignored Gang Tae explanation. "Mun Yeong, can you stop being so stubborn and listen to my explanation!" plead Gang Tae. Mun Yeong stopped and look at Gang Tae, eyes full of hurt and sorrow, "Moon Gang Tae you choose your brother over me when things get too difficult for you. Now you are probably tired of me and have thought of abandoning me to be with someone that is sweet, young and attractive!” Gang Tae shook his head and held Mun Yeong hands as tears gathered in his eyes. "I am sorry that I had hurt you. At that time, I thought that the greatest love is to let you go. Then I realized that I missed you so much. I know that I can't let you go when I see you again. I had found the courage and determination to fight for our happiness because of you. Mun Yeong ah, it was never my intention to hurt you in any way." Mun Yeong let go of Gang Tae hand and said, "If you ever have a change of heart, do let me know." Mun Yeong opened the door to her car and drove off, leaving Gang Tae behind.

“Hyung I am sorry, please don't ignore me. I had already explained to Ji Won. She promised not to bother you anymore." Jung Hyun said to Gang Tae. "Stop talking and drink with me!" Gang Tae said while tears started rolling down his eyes. "Hyung, you need to stop drinking the alcohol." pleaded Jung Hyun. It was late at night and Gang Tae walked home with wobbly legs. He was in a drunken state as he opens the door and stood there looking totally wasted. Mun Yeong looked at him with her arm crossed while Sang Tae supported him at the side. Sang Tae glanced at Mun Yeong and look away. “Mun Yeong ah, it is better to kiss than to quarrel” said Sang Tae. Mun Yeong gave an exasperated sigh and reluctantly supported Gang Tae at the other side. They placed him on the bed together and Sang Tae said that he will go and get a warm towel for Gang Tae. After he left the room, Gang Tae gave a silly smile to Mun Yeong. “Mun Yeong ah, you make me so happy!” Mun Yeong replied with a smile on her face, “Moon Gang Tae, you look so cute and silly especially when you are drunk.”

The next morning, Gang Tae woke up with a heavy hangover. He went to the other room and saw Sang Tae and Mun Yeong laughing together while watching the cartoon. When Mun Yeong saw Gang Tae stepping into the room, she turned around and walked away, giving him a cold shoulder. Gang Tae grabbed her wrist and whispered, “Mun Yeong ah, I have something to say to you.” They went to the balcony and Gang Tae is still holding on to Mun Yeong wrist. “Mun Yeong ah, I’m sorry for what you had been through.” Mun Yeong looked at him and said without any emotion, “why are you apologizing to me when you did nothing wrong?” Gang Tae hugged Mun Yeong and pleaded, “please don’t ignore me again, it broke my heart into pieces.” Mun Yeong melt in Gang Tae embrace and his sincere love. She looked at Gang Tae in the eyes and said, “Alright, I promise you that I will not ignore you again. You know I was just furious when I saw you with an attractive woman.” Gang Tae gave a chuckle, “Remember what hyung says? It is better to kiss than to quarrel. Let’s put that into action!” He pulled Mun Yeong over, hands on her waist and kissed her on the lips. " We matched each other like soulmates. You are the bomb and i will always be your safety pin", Gang Tae whispered softly into Mun Yeong ear.

At the campus, Gang Tae was walking towards the class and when he saw Ji Won waiting at the door, he immediately turns his back and walked away. Ji Won ran after him and apologized. “Hey, I’m sorry for getting the wrong idea and was mistaken about you. Don’t worry, I won’t pester you anymore after I found out the truth. You are the leading man in her life. I am sure I will find my own leading man who will love me wholeheartedly too.” Ji Won said with a grin. “I hope I have cleared the misunderstanding, and it won’t be awkward if we ever see each other in school again.” Ji Won smiled shyly at Gang Tae. “You will definitely find your leading man in your own story.” Gang Tae said earnestly. “Just stop sending love letter for your friend to avoid misunderstanding!” said Ji Won with a smile. “We may not be a real couple, but I can’t help it if other people insist that we are the campus couple though.” Ji Won said jokingly. Gang Tae replied with a sigh, "Then I will be in deep trouble again!" “Don’t worry too much about it, we can’t stop others from talking anyway. Let’s just be ourselves and enjoy our campus life while it last”, said Ji Won. Gang Tae nod his head and smile.

Drama Queen notes to our lovely readers:

Jang Ji Won is a fictional character who is created to stir some drama and conflict for the main couple so that their relationship becomes stronger. When I write this chapter, I thought of Ko Mun Young as a little princess in her heart and is quite insecure despite being reassured many times that Moon Gang Tae really loves her and will never leave her. Her childhood experience caused her to be wary of people so that she will not be hurt. She was never in a close relationship with anyone until she met Gang Tae. Therefore, when Mun Yeong saw Gang Tae with an attractive young woman she felt insecure. Gang Tae and Mun Yeong are soulmates and only they understood each other. Please do not hate on Jung Hyun because he is like a little brother to Gang Tae. He had a crush on Ji Won and maybe later in the episode, Ji Won will see something in him that attracts her.  Jang Ji Won is  a modern, intelligent and kind woman therefore, she will definitely meet a man that will truly love her.

The next chapter: Author Kim is back for revenge. Does she know Ko Mun Yeong? What type of secret is she holding? Did she hold a grudge on Ko Mun Yeong?
