Drama Recap: Mr. Plankton Episode 3

At the intersection road, Hae Jo was involved in a minor mishap. Before learning that Hae Jo wasn't his biological son, he used to receive a lot of love from his father, whom he met at that time. The father recognise Hae Jo right away, and they swapped business cards.

Hae Jo was born with the name Seung Hyeok. "I'm your father," he remarked, laughing when he saw it on his father's business card. "I no longer feel sorry," he informed his father. He now runs an online business that helps individuals with things other than murder and looking for missing persons.

In his dream, Hae Jo begged his father not to leave him. After hearing his frantic pleas, Jae Mi made the decision to stay with him, only to discover that he had been duped into complying by tying her hands with cords.

A flashback to the scene at the doctor's office where Hae Jo was. A shortlisted contact of the sperm donors who might be his father was given to Hae Jo by the doctor.Five individuals who might have been Hae Jo's biological father were on the contact list. Hae Jo was adamant about using a DNA test to locate his father.

After making close contact with Jae Mi, which caused his heart to race, Hae Jo hurried down to the shop house to wash his face as Jae Mi struggled to untie the cord. On the way back, he heard noise in the restaurant. It turns out that the restaurant owner's sons and daughters were scheming to obtain a piece of the business while feigning to look after their father.

When Hae Jo returned to their room, he saw Jae Mi staring at him angrily. He made an effort to reconcile with Jae Mi, but was flatly turned down. While watching the animation and laughing heartily, Hae Jo turned around with his back to Jae Mi. It brought back memories of Jae Mi's first encounter with Hae Jo.

Jae Mi recalls meeting Hae Jo at the intersection, which also happened to be the first time Hae Jo saw his father after he had been absent for a while. He thought his father and his wife and daughter had begun a new life. Jae Mi came over to give him her umbrella and bandage his hand wound with a handkerchief when he felt like his father had abandoned him once more.

Jae Mi, a childcare worker whose childhood desire was to become a mother because she was an orphan. As Jae Mi was reflecting on her experience with Hae Jo, he abruptly showed up and gave back the handkerchief bearing the school's logo. When Hae Jo inquired if Jae Mi wanted to date him, she laughed and said yes.

The Eo family servant rushed to tell her mistress that her son had disappeared the following day. Bam Ho Ja was surprisingly composed as she described the night she witnessed her son leaving the house in his automobile to look for Jae Mi. She chose to let him leave since she felt there was nothing she could do to stop him. But she also disclosed that she had a strategy.

Eo Heung drove to the police station in a desperate attempt to report that a man was kidnapping his wife. Jae Mi had chosen to elope with another man, the authorities concluded. As they carry out their own investigations, they instructed Eo Heung to return and wait for more details. Eo Heung was so worried that he printed a lot of photos of Jae Mi as a missing person and stuck them all over the place.

Hae Jo compensated the restaurant owner the following day after he graciously allowed them to stay at his house for the night. Jae Mi urged Hae Jo to let her leave while they were eating, but Hae Jo insisted that they look for his biological father together because it wouldn't be enjoyable until Jae Mi accompanied him.

Behind their father's back, the restaurant owner's sons and daughter-in-law plan to sell the establishment. But they got into a fight after Hae Jo called them out for plotting against their father. After breaking up the altercation and ejecting Hae Jo and Jae Mi from his establishment, the restaurant owner admitted that he was aware of his kids' actions the entire time but decided to overlook them for the sake of their family's harmony. He accuses Jae Mi and Hae Jo of prying into their private matters.

The Prince gang leader arrived to search for Hae Jo and Jae Mi after they had left the restaurant. But the restaurant owner decided to use pig intestine to scare him away since he had had enough. The boss is furious and says he will murder them. The police arrived just in time to put an end to the disturbance. Eo Heung assigned the spot at the same moment, but he chose to drive the police car away in order to look for Jae Mi.

When the police showed up, they took Eo Heung and the royal gang into custody. When Eo Heung was freed from custody due to his familial ties, the gang was not happy. Korea was visited by an enigmatic individual named John Na. His identity and the reason for his visit have not been disclosed to us.

When Hae Jo awoke on the grassland, he was sad to see that Jae Mi and Eo Heung had gone. Jae Mi stays with him, which surprises him. When the police arrived and took Eo Heung into custody while he was laying on the ground, it was discovered that Jae Mi had hidden Hae Jo away. Upon seeing Jae Mi, Hae Jo was overjoyed and offered her a flower, which she declined. Jae Mi said to Hae Jo that she is staying because she is unsure of how to inform Eo Heung that she experienced an early menopause and is unable to continue the family line.

Drama Queen review

Some of the scenarios in Mr. Plankton seem a bit ludicrous and dramatic to me. How is it possible for Eo Heung to pursue Jae Mi and Hae Jo in a police vehicle? The Prince gang is superfluous and doesn't contribute many humorous features. The entire episode lacked humor and made no sense. By now, everything was predictable. We are aware that Jae Mi could be reluctant to disclose to Eo Heung that she is experiencing an early menopause, but the fact that she still loves him is a stronger argument for staying with Hae Jo. But neither of them would acknowledge their mutual dependence.

However, I am rather impressed with the young actor that played Hae Jo. He can make me cry with his acting skills. I can see why Hae Jo felt abandoned and insecure. But that might be his version of events. We still had to investigate and find out exactly how his father felt. Despite my admiration for Woo Dong Hwan as an actor, I am still not persuaded that this drama is interesting enough for me to keep watching.

Oh Jung Se is a fantastic actor, and I'm happy to see that his character Eo Heung, for once, decides what he truly wants and pursues it in spite of his mother's disapproval. But sometimes, I believe he comes across as just foolish and unsophisticated. In the next episodes, I anticipate seeing him develop further. Oh Jung Se and Woo Dong Hwan have me eager to watch this series. The plot isn't quite as good as Jo Yong's earlier masterwork. But I might stay a little while longer just to watch how the plot unfolds without having big hopes.
