Drama Recap: Mr. Plankton Episode 7

John Na and Ju Ri feature in an action film that opens the drama. John Na and the villain were engaged in a gunfight. The villain unintentionally fired his rifle at Ju Ri during the combat. John Na was devastated and asked Ju Ri what she would say to him one final time.

The scene returns to the couch where Hae Jo and Jae Mi were watching the movie. Hae Jo asked Jae Mi, "What will be your final words to me?" in response to their criticism that the film was tacky. To his ears, Jae Mi said something.

A knife was unintentionally used to stab Jae Mi on the abandoned island. Hae Jo misinterpreted her words for "shit" when she meant to say "shoes" when he asked what Jae Mi's last words were. Once on the island, the cops apprehended the gang leader and rescued everyone.

Upon Jae Mi's hospitalisation for treatment, Hae Jo felt guilty for involving Jae Mi in his mess. He had a depressive illness and blamed Jae Mi's injuries on himself. Instead of eating, he hugged the shoe he had found on the island belonging to Jae Mi on the bed.

Despite his mother's protests, Eo Heung is adamant on staying at the hospital to care for Jae Mi. To demonstrate his resolve to stick with Jae Mi, Eo Heung threatened to pull down his pants.

To claim his rewards, Gi Ho headed to Eo Heung's house. He reveals that he captured every illegal action that led to the villain's capture. But he left the house empty-handed, unaware that he was speaking to the housekeeper. Unaware that Hae Jo was resting on the bed, which was covered with shoes, he protested to Bongsuk. Startled, he fled the house.

After Jae Mi was released from the hospital, Ho Ja takes her home to relax. When Eo Heung attempted to find Jae Mi, Ho Jo forbade him. To keep Eo Heung safe and prevent him from seeing Jae Mi in the room, she dispatched John Na.

To pull Hae Jo out of bed, Bongsuk pretends to throw the sneaker he is carrying outside the house. Hae Jae desperately looks for the shoe in the rubbish dump. He looks like a beggar, says Bongsuk, who remembers her first encounter with Hae Jo many years ago.

Because of the chicken drumsticks packet in her hand, Hae Jo followed Bongsuk. Eventually, he went home with Bongsuk. Bongsuk became his caretaker, and they now live together.

Jae Mi was in Eo Heung's residence when she woke up. She told Ho Ja that she had been lying to her about being pregnant with Eo Heung. Jae Mi acknowledged having early menopause. She cannot have children with Eo Heung. Jae Mi asks Ho Ja to respect Eo Heung and not be too harsh with him. She vows to leave Eo Heung as well. It's hard for Eo Heung to believe that Jae Mi is leaving him. But he quickly accepted that, and they made the decision to split up.

Hae Jo gathers himself after learning that Jae Mi is now staying at Eo Heung's residence after recovering. He showered in the public lavatory before searching for Eo Heung, whom he now considered his hyung. Eo Heung was craving a smoke outside his home. All of a sudden, Hae Jo shows up.Hae Jo gave Eo Heung a hug and thanked him. He said, "You are warm," to Eo Heung. Hae Jo handed Eo Heung Jae Mi's sneaker and instructed him to give it back to her. When Jae Mi mentioned the sneaker, Eo Heung recalled that she wanted to find it and accompany him. Eo Heung realised that she was talking about the shoe Hae Jo had purchased for her.

In order to locate him, Jae Mi chose to put on the shoes Hae Jo had purchased for her. She broke their vow to always be together, which saddens Eo Heung because she knows she wants to go with Hae Jo.

Upon searching Bongsuk's flat for Hae Jo, Jae Mi was shocked to see that neither of them was appropriately attired. Jae Mi barged into the house and drew Hae Jo very close. Jae Mi didn't want to wait for Hae Jo to fully explain what had occurred to her. Although Bongsuk believed that Jae Mi had kissed Hae Jo on the lips, the camera pans to reveal that Jae Mi is actually biting Hae Jo's nose.

Drama Queen Review

Another drama by Jo Yong about human healing has been written. Mr. Plankton consistently produces her signature style. Nevertheless, it is truly unmatched by the other masterpiece and is in a class of its own.It is possible to identify certain similarities in Jo Yong's writing style if you have viewed her earlier works. She uses several sentences repeatedly, like "you are so warm." You may remember this line from the It's okay to not be okay scene, where Ko Moon Young told Moon Gang Tae that while hugging him in the rain.

In this drama, Oh Jung Se demonstrated his acting prowess once more. In Jo Yong drama, he consistently excels in the role of a loving brother. I am aware that when the camellia blossoms, he can play a villain in the story. He can also play the most compassionate character in Jo Yong's drama. In her stories, Jo Yong frequently portrays Oh Jung Se as the trustworthy older brother. The character development of Eo Heung in Oh Jung Se is evident. Despite his low self-esteem, he has become stronger as a result of his love for Jae Mi and has learnt to respect her choices and emotions, even if they cause him heartache.

Another thing I love is seeing Hae Jo and Eo Heung develop a bromance. Hae Jo has discovered an older brother to confide in as he knows Eo Heung is a kind man. I'm glad to know that Hae Jo has a good brother like Eo Heung who truly cares for him, as well as Bongsuk who supports him like an older sister. He has a close friendship with Gi Ho, and Jae Mi loves him. Hae Jo appears to be concentrating on the things he lacks and craves the most—fatherly affection—despite being surrounded by loving people.

After learning to follow her heart's wishes, Jae Mi eventually puts on the shoes that Hae Jo gave her and finds her true love. I'm hoping Hae Jo will develop and discover his true wants as well. Hae Jo occasionally makes excessive assumptions, which ultimately results in misunderstandings. He could have handled things like an adult, but Hae Jo prefers to run away from problems rather than face them head-on. We see some development in Eo Heung and Jae Mi. I also hope Hae Jo's character continues to grow.

Finally, we are fortunate to see numerous scenes of Hae Jo without a shirt. His toned physique, which displays his muscles on film, is usually appreciated. In the first episode, I thought Bongsuk might have had a crush on Hae Jo, but I'm relieved that wasn't the case. It's good that Bongsuk and Hae Jo's relationship is based more on kinship than romance.
