Apple in your eye (妹妹)Episode 6

Summary

Zhou Ji Wei thought that Dai Yao Qi came to find her. However, she was disappointed when she raised her head and saw Yuan Fang. On the other hand, Dai Yao Qi was worried about Zhou Ji Wei. He went to her house to find her and was relieved when he received the text messages from Ji Wei. Zhou Ji Wei asked Dai Yao Qi to play the truth or dare game. Either he tell the truth or exhaust 300cc of sweat.

Dai Yao Qi choose to lose 300cc of sweat to Ji Wei disappointment. He rode the bicycle till he perspires so much. He laid down on the bed next to Zhang Shao Min and pulled her close for comfort. A flashback about Dai Yao Qi high school days showed that he love Ji Wei and because of the promise, he choose to stay away from Ji Wei.

Ji Wei and Dai Qi adopted an abandoned puppy when they were kids. However, as time passes by the little puppy became a big dog. Gradually, the dog grew up and passed away years later. Ji Wei used to be a Mayday fan but she missed out on their concert. She lamented that time passes by so fast and nothing can be kept.

She met Yuan Fang at a family mart. They had a conversation about time and memories. she ask Yuan Fang is it true that nothing will be left after time is gone? Yuan Fang used a famous artist art work as an illustration. No matter how beautiful are the black inn ice blocks, after ten days everything will disappear. He stated that it is a waste of time to keep looking back at the past.

Ji Wei decided to move forward and face everything bravely. She intended to stay in Taipei and not dwell in the past. Eventually, she temporary moved into Dai Yao Qi apartment and choose not to probe into the answer that she wanted to know. She decided to be contended as his younger sister.

Soon, Ji Wei had found a job at a shipping and delivering company. She met Mei Jie (Sister Mei) , the senior employee in the company. She was wary of Ji Wei beauty and was curious about her intention in joining this company. The male employees in the company treated her well, especially Ah Bing Ge (brother Bing) who treated her like a younger sister.

Ji Wei first assignment was to collect some parcels from her previous company that fired her. She met a irritating ex-colleague and was criticized by him. Ji Wei turned around and gave him a lecture about having the right attitude towards everything. She stated that even doing well in small little things are important too.

Shao Min was offered an assignment to flim some documentary overseas for a few months. She was insecure about Ji Wei presence, therefore she was hesitant to commit to this assignment.

After Ji Wei moved into Dai Yao Qi apartment, his grandmother became much happier. She also revealed to Ji Wei that she is a little afraid of Shao Min. They prepared some snacks (Tofu Wrap) for Dai Yao Qi and his staffs.

Shao Min decided to talk to Ji Wei after she shared about her problems to her close friend Xiao Mi. She frankly told Ji Wei about her feelings. In order to clear the misunderstanding and to encourage Shao Min to pursue her dreams, she lied about having a boyfriend.

Ji Wei ex-colleague came to visit her and thanked her for the great advices. He specially treat her for lunch with some discount coupons. Ironically, the eatery store they are going to belonged to Dai Yao Qi. He assumed that her ex-colleague is Ji Wei boyfriend and examined him from head to toe.

After he left, Dai Yao Qi reprimanded Ji Wei for having poor judgement on man. Ji Wei insisted that he is just an ex-colleague and not her boyfriend. In the end, they rode on the bicycle home. While they reminiscing about the past, Shao Min suddenly appeared from the bedroom and they have to end their conversation.

It was Mei Jie (sister Mei) birthday, Ji Wei organized a surprise for her. They brought a tiny birthday cake for her and invited her to Dai Yao Qi eatery store. Mei Jie was delighted to see the handsome boys working here.

Ah Bing ge met Dai Yao Qi and they had a conversation over drinks. Initially, Dai Yao Qi was wary of him and thought that he is Ji Wei boyfriend. It turned out that Brother bing had a younger sister that had passed away due to an accident. Therefore, he treated Ji Wei like his younger sister. The next day, Shao Min decided to take on the overseas assignment and left for work.

Prior to leaving for work assignment, Shao Min felt a lack of security in love, therefore she asked Xiao Mi for help. Xiao Mi hinted to Dai Yao Qi to purchase a discounted ring to propose to Shao Min. Coincidentally, Ji Wei met Yuan Fang at the building where they work. In order to repay Yuan Fang for his help and advices, she offered to help Yuan Fang in his work.

They worked together till night time and even went to the family mart for supper. At the eatery store, Dai Yao Qi was busy attending to customers and he suddenly remembered about the ring. He realized that he lost the ring box and was panicky. After anxiously searching high and low for the ring box, the recieved a call from his employee informing him that he left ring box on his bicycle.

Dai Yao Qi was relieved after hearing the good news. Just when he was about to leave, he saw an abandoned puppy. He carried the puppy to the family mart to buy foods and he saw Ji Wei with Yuan Fang.

My thoughts

Dai Yao Qi obviously did not love Shao Min that much. In my opinion, he is just using Shao Min as a replacement for Ji Wei. I knew the story will develop towards this direction. Afterall, Dai Yao Qi had gave himself away so many times. He tried so hard to conceal his feeling and escape from facing this problem. He said Fang Shao Min is his girlfriend and Ji Wei is his sister that will never change.

However, I think Dai Yao Qi is just trying to convince himself and deceive others. He knows very well who he love but he dare not love Ji Wei. He rather be a coward in love and divert his romantic love into siblings love. Unfortunately, he can never lie to his own heart. The same goes for Ji Wei, she should not use Yuan Fang as an excuse too. Love is not a replacement for somebody else position, neither can it be used as a lie.

Xiao Mi acted as a love advisor to Dai Yao Qi and Fang Shao Min. His words of wisdom and advices were great. I agreed with what he said to the both of them. Sometimes, a third party is able to assess a situation better than the involved parties.  On the other hand, Mei Jie seem to be jealous of Ji Wei. She is always observing her every movement. I think maybe she was desperate for love and attention?

I can understand why Ah bing ge wanted to be Ji Wei's brother. She is like a replacement for a little sister that he lost in an accident. In my opinion, not everything can be replaced in life. However, a replacement can be used to fill up the void space in one's heart and provide some comfort. Even if time passes by, things that had happened in the past will be like a residue ( memories ) that will always etched in our heart.

We can never deny things that had happened in the past but we have to move on in life too. Overall, I appreciate the topic behind this episode  - Things could coincide in an untimely moment. Yes, time is such an unpredictable factor in our life.

My Love From The Star Episode 6

Min Joon ran out of the car despite the heavy traffic, making his action more suspicious.  Detective Park gave chase after Min Joon.

While running, Min Joon recalled his experience in Joseon Dynasty. Both Min Joon and Yi Hwa escaped from the guards after Yi Hwa father died. Min Joon was already weak after he was poisoned but they promised to stay with each other.

Once Dectective park was out of sight, Min Joon teleports himself into the lift lobby. The security guards were suspicious of him who appears from nowhere.

Jae Hyung arrived at Song Yi house with the intention of finding the evidence. He looked around her closet and searched through her belongings. When Song Yi asked about the sudden visit, he make up the excuse of being concerned about Song Yi after Yura incident to cover his track. After that, Song Yi revealed that she knew about their relationship at the cruise and even witnessed their fight. Jae Hyung asked about Song Yi insomnia, asking her to take care of her health.

Meanwhile, Kwi Kyung arrived at Song Yi house and was shocked to see a pair of man shoes. He rushed in and was relieved to see his brother. On the other hand, the security guards checked on Min Joon. They realized that he is the resident here and apologized to him. They went through the video again and it was eerily strange.

Min Joon slammed on Song Yi door. Kwi Kyung opened the door and was not pleased to see Min Joon. They started quarreling and Min Joon shove Kwi Kyung out of the house using his superhuman strength. Min Joon refused to confess that he is here to protect Song Yi. Instead, he accused Song Yi of letting any man into her house. That remark angered Song Yi and she sent him out of the house together with Kwi Kyung.

What follows was a petty bickering between two men. Kwi Kyung insisted that Song Yi belongs to him and Min Joon question if that was agreed mutually. Min Joon mind flashed back to one of his lecture in school and the topic is about Jealousy that was caused by low self esteem.

Min Joon childishly mentioned to Kwi Kyung about the hair tie that Song Yi had left in his house and when Kwi Hyung wonders if she is drunk, Min Joon clarifies that Song Yi was sober when she slept over in his house.

Song Yi wanted to pay her respect to Yura but her van was pelt with eggs from angry fans. At the agency, Song Yi overheard the conversation between CEO Ahn and Song Yi mother. It was about the renewal of contract and CEO Ahn was reluctant to sign Song Yi under their wings. In the end, Song Yi said that she intended take a hiatus from work and told Bum that he is no longer her manager. CEO Ahn was relieved that Song Yi is willing to bear the cost of the damage and Bum gave him a disappointed glare, since everyone knows that Song Yi did this to save her face.

Se Mi and her mother steps in and boasted about her daughter recent status as the leading actress. Se Mi said that she has not decide about taking up this role in consideration of Song Yi. However, she freeze when Song Yi caught her lying about her mother injuries. After Song Yi left, Se Mi finally revealed that she had took up this role and that she did not tell Song Yi in order not to hurt her. Se Mi finally waited for her big break and she revealed her bitterness towards Song Yi.

At the prosecutor office, Dectective Park was still wondering how Min Joon escape in the blink of an eye. They did a background check and realize that Min Joon is not an ordinary person. He is at the level of Chaebol wealth. At the fishing trip with Lawyer Jang, Min Joon revealed that he had accumulated his weath through property. Min Joon gave his instruction to Lawyer Jang to sell all his property before he leave the earth. He revealed that he envision himself ready to leave the earth but he cannot let go of "someone".

Min Joon went back home and saw a post-it note on the front door. It turns out that Song Yi asked him to purchase a cellphone in case she could not find him.

Jae Kyung was volunteering at a vet clinic. It is true that he aspired to be a vet, however he looked scarily when propofol was mentioned. Perhaps a bad idea from the murderer?

Song Yi received a post-it note from Min Joon about her final exam and if she don't turn up, she will get an F. Song Yi decided to chauffeur herself since she does not have a manager anymore. Song Yi called her brother and reprimanded him for not sending his greeting on her brithday. After that, it was a hilarious journey to school. At the gas station, Song Yi mistaken an attendent asking for her autograph when he actually needed Song Yi to sign on the receipt. It was funny about Song Yi lack of driving skills and the lame joke about her name.

While parking her car, another car rear-end her. She recognize the driver as a reporter and hurries to buried her face. The news van soon came and surrounded her, trapping her inside the car.

Min Joon was checking his watch as the exam was going on and he was disappointed that Song Yi did not turn up. He sharpen his senses and focus on the commotion outside the school.

Min Joon used legalistic terms against the media and asked Song Yi not to hide when she did nothing wrong. Song Yi got out of the car and held Min Joon hand. The media immediately click on their camera but it does not work.

The exam was over and Min Joon took Song Yi to the museum. She caught sight of the crystal hair pin and Min Joon noticed her strangely emotional reaction.

Se Mi drops by her brother room and saw a photograph on the desk. She noticed about the mysterious man that recused Song Yi Years ago during an accident. She took out the photograph which she took when she was a teenager and compared it with the current photograph. She was shocked to discovered that it was the same person although the pictures were unclear.

Min Joon drove Song Yi to her dinner date. She even offered Min Joon to be her bodyguard or manager. He asked, how much will you offer me?

Kwi Kyung met Song Yi at the Amusement park, just as what Song Yi mother suggested to him. It was to celebrate Song Yi brithday. Song Yi remembered the time when she rode the Ferris Wheel with her father. From a far away distance, he could envision the both of them holding hands and rode the Ferris Wheel.

Min Joon recalled the museum trip and Song Yi stared at the hair pin with sadness but she did not know why. He narrate the story is like a bad dream. Back to Joseon, Yi Hwa and Min Joon was holding hand. Yi Hwa gave Min Joon the hairpin as a farewell gift, telling him to get back home safely. She assured him that she will never forget him even after death.

Their pursuers chased after them and reached the edge of the Clift. Min Joon tried to gather all his strength to protect Song Yi but he was too weak to go against the officers.

Yi Hwa protected Min Joon by shielding the arrows shot by the guards. Yi Hwa dead and Min Joon sob as he held Yi Hwa in his arms. The story ended with Min Joon describing that this is the moment he never want to experience. The pain of losing a love one.

Back to the Ferris wheel, Kwi Hyung proclaimed his love for Song Yi. He promised to take care of her family all his life. Kwi Hyung asked Song Yi to think about it before answering. Song Yi said that she can answer him now.

Time freeze and Min Joon start to walk away thinking, even if I have to do this to prevent hearing, there are things which I do not want to hear.

Epilogue

Manager Bum send a letter to Song Yi door and ran away with sadness after he told Song Yi to take care of her health. The letter was addressed to her future manager. It stated that everything that her future manager need to take note about Song Yi. Including Song Yi dislike for the Joseon Dynasty.

Comments

I love the scene about Yi Hwa and Min Joon. Perhaps, it is all about timing and fate has it that both of them have to be seperated by death. I was so touched by this pure love. Both of them were so young when this tragedy happened. I was so engrossed and was totally drawn into their characters. I was sad that their scenes came to an end in this episode and their story are not necessary anymore since we got the whole picture. Bravo to this two actors who acted so well!

Song Yi is getting reliant on Min Joon and   I love the way Min Joon protected Song Yi. Their chemistry is amazingly good, although Song Yi looks like Min Joon elder sister. It makes sense since Alien technically speaking does not age. Jun Ji Hyun is a gorgeous lady and her acting is surprisingly good and consistent. I knew her as a competent actress since years ago and I think she really tried her best to act well in this drama.

There are many things happening in this episode and I really like the pace of this drama. The scriptwriter is a great storyteller in explaining the story using flashbacks and link it to the present. There wasn't a dull moment and everything is so engaging with a mixture of fun, excitement and loving moments.

Unlike those drama which I watched about fate, the main characters here are not so passive and wishy-washy when it comes to love. Min Joon actually knows that he love Song Yi. Likewise, Song Yi is slowly drawn towards Min Joon. I am glad that their love for each other is progressing well. However, what type of fate awaits them in the future? With a murderer chasing behind them,  Min Joon preparing to leave the earth and many more.

Other than the well written Main leads characters, I was drawn into other characters too. Se Min appears to be a bad person but I do pity her at times. She seem to live behind the shadow of Song Yi all these while. Kwi Kyung is quite cute and innocent, despite my liking towards Min Joon. Lawyer Jang and Min Joon friendship is also another highlight in this drama. I really enjoyed those moments.

Good Doctor Episode 6

Afterthought

I find it amazing that Shi-on is able to reach out to the werewolf girl (Eun-Ok). He is gentle and kind to this girl who was abused by her guardian and somehow they managed to connect to each other. Although, it was kind of sad to treat the girl like a 'dog' and that she basically does not trust the people around her. Her only natural instinct is to bark and bite the person who gets close to her.

I like to hear about the story of Do-han and his little brother. I just know that Do-han has some underlying reasons why he does not accept Shi-on, other than the fact he has savant syndrome. The way he treated Shi-on seem to hint at something which has yet to be revealed. I am glad to know about this heartbreaking story about Do-han. I supposed he treated Shi-on like his younger brother, but he can't overcome his guilt and the wrong decision which he had made which indirectly caused the death of his brother.

The resident spy Il-Kyu open the door and aggravated Eun-Ok and caused a chaos in the hospital. I don't like the fact that Shi-on will be wrongly accused for leaving the door open. I hate those pushing the blame to a innocent man scheme in order to acheive something. Talking about politics power struggle in the hospital organization, it was boring and i rather see the doctors interaction with their patients or some emergency cases. Those human touch factors is what holds the story together and make it appealing to the viewers. :)

May Queen Episode 6

Summary

Hae Joo witness what bulter park did at the cliff and managed to stop the tragedy before her father get push into the sea. Alarmed, bulter park panickly denied doing anything when Hae Joo asked him what he is doing with the hands. Soon, the debt collectors came and demanded for payment. They were given a week to clear their debts.

Bulter park went back and President Jang was displeased when he did not do as he was commanded. He threatened Bulter Park with Chang Hee and instructed him to do a good job. On the other hand,
Hae Joo father (Chun Hong Chul) tried to know more about President Jang through Yoon Jeong Woo.

Bulter park came with a bag of money to look for Hong Chul. He will help to clear his debt but the only condition is to leave Ulsan immediately. Hong Chul hesistated but he decided not to take the money and even revealed what he had discovered. Bulter park intended to use a rock to hit Hong Chul, however, he changed his mind and arranged to let Hong Chul meet with his madam.

Chang Hee saw Kang Sang solving mathematical formula on the whiteboard and he was amazed. He asked Kang Sang why is he alway the last in school since he is able to solve the mathematical problems. To which, Kang San replied that the school work is not interesting as compared to this.

Chang Hee stayed behind and analyse the mathematical format which Kang San could not solve. In Hwa waited for Kang San and gave him the book - Fermat's last Theorem. Hae Joo was wiping the floor when she found a hand-knit yellow baby sweater and she showed it to her mother who insisted that she threw that away.

Bulter Park seem to plot something against Hong Chul as he drove a lorry to a deserted place and changed the number plate of the lorry. On the other hand, Chang Hee met Hae Joo while riding a bicycle and he offered to give her a ride home. Hae Joo packed some stream bread for her father and Chang Hee again offered her a ride to her father workplace.

Hae Joo offered a stream bread to Chang Hee on the way and they accidentally fell on the ground and gazed into each other's eyes. Unknowingly, bulter park drove the lorry and passed them by. Chang Hee left the bicycle for Hae Joo and complimented her for being nice and bright to which Hae Joo heart beat faster.

Hong Chul drove the boat with Hae Joo and spend precious moments with each other and hinted that they could be separated from each other. Bong Hee, Jeong Woo and Guem Hee met each other at Hak Soo tomb and paid their respect. Jeong Woo was not able to forgive Guem Hee for marrying President Jang.
President Jang discreetly met an officer and discussed about shipbuilding. They reached an unethical dealing and planned to plot again President Kang whom he holds a grudge to. The chemical results of the plantation came out and he as what Bong Hee suspected, somebody poisoned the to trees at the pear orchard. They secretly laid in ambushed and true enough, they discovered the people poisoning the land using chemicals. Bong Hee gave chase to the culprits and Jeong Woo accidentally groped her as they fall together.

Butler park waited at the meeting place and was looking for an opportunity to run Hong Chul over with his lorry. It was 9 pm and Butler park did not show up at the ocean industrial. Hong Chul walked on the lonely street and Butler Park braced himself as he accelerated with high speed and drove towards him. However, Hae Joo cut his path and in a bid to rescue Hae Joo Hong Chul was knocked over by the lorry.

Hong Chul was rushed to the hospital and the doctor told the family to be prepared for the worst. Butler park was punishing himself by hitting his forehead against the rock and when he went home, Chang Hee was shocked and thought that he was beaten by President Jang.

President Jang ordered butler park to the study room and before he could get anything out of him, In Hwa went into the room and said that Hae Joo dad was involved in an car accident. Butler Park drove Guem Hee, Chang Hee and In Hwa to the hospital and was distracted on the way to the hospital.

Hong Chul woke up and apologized to Hae Joo for not giving her a happy life. He was about to tell her who is her biological mother when In Hwa mum stepped into the room and he pointed to her direction.

Review

Sad to know that Hae Joo dad (Hong Chul) is going to die. I understand that this is part of the plot to get the story going but i was pretty sad about that scene. How is Hae Joo going to deal with this heart break and how will her family members treat her from now onwards? Are they going to blame Hae Joo for what happened? which is most likely. Anyway, the childhood romance between Hae Joo and Chang Hee was sweet. The child actors and actresses were pretty good in acting those scenes where they had a crush on each other. Kang San remains an interesting character which i was looking forward to in the later episodes.

Butler Park is really a coward and i don't understand his motive for all these. I understand that he wanted to protect Chang Hee and was afraid of President Jang but he went to the extend of killing someone which makes him a murder. Anyway, i believed Hae Joo yellow sweater will be used as an evidence for identification purposes or stir out suspicious of the missing child.

Lastly, In Hwa was kind enough to visit Hae Joo father at the hospital and i find her much better than her bother. There was a mixture of light hearted moments and dramatic moments in this episode. Overall, I really look forward to the story unfolding itself with each episode.

When he leaves, she takes out her stomach medicine and is just about to consume it when Chi Soo appears and snatches it away from her, thinking that she wants to poison herself. was playing with a

Chi Soo and Kang Hyuk end up in fight, when Chi Soo give Kang Hyuk a punch upon seeing the latter. Eun Bi scolds Chi Soo for being crazy and tells him to stop. Kang Hyuk adds fuel to the fire when he declares that Eun Bi is his wife.

Chi Soo  looks down at the packet he’s holding in his hand, he cringes: it’s a laxative not poison.  When Eun Bi demands to know what he’s doing here, and why he wants her medicine, he stares at the packet in horror, and he takes off screaming in the other direction.

As Eun Bi tends to Kang hyuk’s wound, she asks how he knows Chi Soo. He winks in response saying that their encounter was more like a short moment in time, suggesting that Chi Soo must have had some business here, but she’s doubtful.

Meanwhile, Chi Soo sits in the train station, freezing and with no money and no phone, he manages to  fins a mobile phone he can use. He calls his father and than Hyun Woo, but neither of them pick up his call. So Chi Soo leaves a dramatic message, saying he woke up in hell or prison or worse, and screams into the mobile phone to be picked up at once as it records his message.

As Chi Soo sits huddled in the train station, we get a flashback to the night before, when Eun  Bi was saying her goodbyes at school; clearer this time around, that he is falling for her as his expression changes.

Sitting in Hyun Woo’s café and holding Eun Bi’s nametag, he is daze as he asks his friend what it means when someone starts acting put of character suddenly, like suddenly taking up a new sport. Hyun Woo thinks he means that So yi is dieting or something, but Chi Soo denies saying that it is not like that and give another example,  “When someone’s hair swishes back and forth like a unicorn’s tail, and when her body glistens like a mermaid.” Puzzled, Hyun Woo wonders what kind of sport is that, than Chi Soo asks what it means if someone says to live a nice life. and Hyun Woo replies that most probably that person is going somewhere.

With that Chi Soo rushes over to the ramyun shop, but finds it closed with a sign on the door in crayon saying that it is for sale. Just then, Kang Hyuk walks up and greets him as Hong Chi Soo. Ignoring his name being said wrongly, Chi Soo demands to know where “his wife” is. And  Kang Hyuk says she is not his wife anymore, and that she is in happier place. Chi Soo murmurs that she must have gotten dumped... again. Kang Hyuk suddenly calls Chi Soo by his proper name: “Cha Chi Soo, are you happy?” Chi Soo scoffs at the question, as if it’s a given when your name is Cha.

He rushes over to the ramyun shop, but finds it closed. There’s a sign on the door in crayon that she’s selling the place. Kang-hyuk walks up and greets him as Hong Chi-soo, and Chi-soo demands to know where “his wife” is.
Kang-hyuk says she’s not his wife anymore, and says she’s “In a happier place.” Chi-soo murmurs to himself that she must’ve gotten dumped. Again. Kang-hyuk suddenly calls Chi-soo by his proper name: “Cha Chi-soo, are you happy?” He scoffs at the question, as if it’s a given when your name is Cha.

That night, back home Chi Soo tosses and turns in bed, holding Eun Bi's nametag and thinking through the events of the past day and what they could mean. He finally assumes that that her apology and final-sounding goodbye means the worse and rushes back to the ramyun shop in a panic. He still finds the shop closed, but this time he notices the stack of all her teaching books left out on the street for anyone to take.

Panicky, he calls Hyun Woo and asks what it means if a twenty-something woman gets dumped, fired, starts acting out of character, and starts throwing away things that are important to her, and leaves on a trip. Where is she going?

After a pause, Hyun Woo says that its either she has gone on a trip to clear her head, or it might be her last trip in her life that she is going to make. With that, Chi Soo freaks out and starts driving around frantically looking for Eun Bi. He happens to see her flag a cab down the street and starts to recall the day he saw her at the basketball court.

So he chases after her all the way to the train station, just in time to see her standing at the pharmacy counter before walking away. Worries he asks what kind of medicine she bought, and the pharmacist insists that it’s a patient’s privacy. Chi Soo flips out, thinking that her life is on the line and insists to know what kind of medicine she purchased, accusing the pharmacist of randomly handing out dangerous medications. With that the pharmacist counters defensively that she was in bad condition, weary, and in dire straits.

Now, back in the present time, Chi Soo sits up in bed, clutching the laxative in fury, "Yang... Eun...Bi… So humiliating!” His father comes in and Chi Soo refuses to acknowledge him as his father (because he didn’t answer his phone last night).  He declares, “I have no father! This is my father now!” (holding up his Pororo) Outside, Chi Soo's father asks his secretary to find out exactly what Chi Soo was up to last night.

At school, Chi Soo’s friends play back his super dramatic voice mail on speaker, demanding to know where he was and what happend, since he made them run all over town searching for him.
He insists that it was no big deal, he just wanted to go, and storms out. Hyun Woo catches up to him in the hall and asks why the teacher (Eun Bi) was there. Chi Soo says it was for her father’s ashes, and then looks at his friend in shock, “How did you know it was Intern?”

Hyun Woo just smiles knowingly, saying that he must have been worried about her. While Chi Soo guffaws that it's a ridiculous conjecture. But when Hyun Woo asks him why did he go, Chi Soo has not answer and hits himself over the head in frustration. He is sitting in the gym watching the other kids play basketball, but instead of the kids playing basketball all he sees is Eun-bi, hitting her volleyball, glistening with sweat and bathed in angelic light. Horrified, he darts up shaking his head, " No. No, it can’t be… why would I… that kind of woman… like there’s some shortage of women around…"

While visiting her father's ashes, Eun Bi recalls that he even smiled on the day she lost the championship volleyball match. When the coach asked how Eun Bi could do such a thing, all her father said was,“If it’s Eun-bi, she can. Because she’s special.”

As Kang Hyuk and Wun Bi walk along the shore and he complains about his jaw, but she retorts that he shouldn’t joke around like that then. Then, he puts both hands on her shoulders and looks straight at her. “You’re special, Yang Eun-bi.”

Back to a Chi Soo in denial, trying to convince himself that what he thinks is happening is not happening. Because if you will yourself to stop thinking about someone, it serves as a good method to eradicate such feelings. He calls So Yi out for a date, but ends up getting distracted and hallucinating about Eun Bi. It is hilarious.

Eun Bi and Kang Hyuk arrive back in Seoul, constantly yell at him not to lie down in random places. She tells him to go first, and stops by the same pharmacy again, to ask for some ointment for scars and some more laxative.

Kang Hyuk finds Ba Wool waiting outside the ramyun shop with his bags packed. So Kang Hyuk feeds him ramyun, and quotes a common saying from parents, that he feels full just by watching Ba Wool eat, asking if he wants to be his kid. Ba Wool gets angry, and then Kang-hyuk pulls out a note, again in crayon, a Help Wanted sign asking for part-time employees.

Ba Wool asks Kang Hyuk if he really owns the ramyun shop now and what happens to Eun Bi? Kang Hyuk replies that he is her owner too, which rattles Ba Wool not liking that idea. Kang Hyuk leaves him leaves him in charge of the store while he attends to some business… in the toilet. It turns out now he’s constipated too, and smiles.

As Ba Wool is the only one watching the store, Chi Soo arrives with Hyun Woo, and immediately there is another brawl. Chi Soo doesn’t understand why they’re fighting again, since he told So Yi to see Ba Wool too, and besides, he NEEDS to see Intern. Ba Wool growls in response and warns Chi Soo not to mess with people’s hearts that way. But Chi Soo scoffs that Ba-wool’s one to talk. “Aren’t you dating So-yi for the same reasons I am? Because she’s pretty?” That’s just enough fuel to Ba-wool’s fire and he lunges at Chi-soo.

Kang Hyuk manages to calm the situation and by a twist of events (and Eun Bi's horror), Chi So becomes their shop part-timer.

“Adorable” is the word to sum up the whole episode. I can’t help but laugh at how adorable Kang Hyuk is in this show. He is like a kid hidden in a giant body. I was amused at how comfortable he can be sleeping almost everywhere. I expected him to be the ‘mother hen’ to the kids in the ramyun shop because he is such a caring person. Oh, did I mention about his adorable smile and his expression when he calls Eun Bi his wife? Cute.

This episode I am laughing at the mess and the chaos Chi Soo had gotten himself into. He is another big kid who is confused with his feeling for Eun Bi. On the other hand, his friend Hyun Woo is able to understand Chi Soo thoughts and appears to be the more mature person in this show. He always listening to Chi Soo and helps him to think of solutions or advises.

Ba Wool is very protective of Eun Bi and his goddess So Yi. But honestly, So Yi did not do anything to deserve his devotion. I guess this is unfair to Ba Wool until So Yi really shows that she appreciate Ba Wool at the later episodes. Eun Bi at some points seems to be trying hard to be somebody that she is not. Basically, she is trying to hide her true self and tried to think and act maturely. However, she is like a little girl in front of her father.

Last but not least, Poor Cha Chi Soo. OH, Poor little puppy! Eun Bi must have hurt you deeply. But he had a sweet revenge when he accepted the offer to work as a part timer. He is going to work with Eun Bi and he grin and wink at her. In order for him to stop hallucinating, Chi Soo had to be with Eun Bi. The part when Chi Soo imagination runs wild about Eun Bi in her uniform, tied a pony tail and tossing the ball in front of him was hilarious.

Marveling at the ring on her finger, Mi-ho declares that she is Dae-woong’s girlfriend. And he can’t help but give a smile in response. They then bump their ringed fists together, sealing their deal. Immediately, Mi-ho jumps up and mentions that there was also always something she wanted to do once she got a boyfriend. She dashes off and arrives... dressed as a bride!

She starts to bow, but Dae-woong stops her mid-bow, horrified that she is trying to marry him when all he said was that he would be her boyfriend. He starts walking away, but stops midway when Mi-ho asks he wants to mate instead. He laughs nervously, and Mi-ho mistakes it that he wants to mate with her. He declares that he would rather throw up the fox bead than mate with a gumiho. But Mi-ho just smiles at his futile gestures of playing hard-to-get.

Left with no other option, Dae-woong decides to beat her at her own game: he grabs her and backs her up against the wall, leaning in close, asking her if thei is what she wanted. In his mind, she retreats shyly, saying she was just kidding… However, Mi-ho instead grabs him into a hug that sends him running away, begging for mercy.

Dae-woong tries to set some ground rules with Mi-ho, explaining to her that their arrangement is more of a contract than an actual relationship. She promises not to do anything he does not want, so he requests that she stop looking at him like she is going to eat him up.

In the middle of the night, Dae-woong is woken up by sounds of Mi-ho crying. It turns out that the reason she is crying is because she used a permanent marker to draw her wedding makeup, and now it would not come off. Dae-woong checks her face to see the damage, and then goes online to find a way to take it off. He manages to fix her fixes her face. She tells him she wanted to paint her face like that and get married five hundred years ago, but because of all the bad rumors, no one came, and she got locked up in that painting.

The next day, Byung-soo decides to tell the director about Dae-woong’s injuries, but he finds out that that Dae-woong is not only healed, but also performing action stunts that meet the director’s expectation. Dae-woong convinces Byung-soo that he is fine. Byung-soo notices the couple ring on his finger, which he promptly tells Sun-nyeo. Sun-nyeo runs to check Hye-in’s finger, to see if she’s got a matching ring. Hye-in huffs at the mention that Dae-woong would have another girl other than her.

Mi-ho visits Dong-joo, showing off her couple ring and telling him that people only give these when they like somebody. He counters that Dae-woong does not see her as a human, nor does he have any reason to like her. To try and prove him wrong, Mi-ho starts to lists all the things Dae-woong praised her for: like her super-speed and strength. He retorts that those abilities are not so important in a world with cars and airplanes. Dong-joo warns her not to rely too much on her looks and throw herself at Dae-woong. He advises her to try and do stuff that Dae-woong wants to do.

So back at home, Mi-ho attempts to ask Dae-woong what he wants, but he just wants her to be quiet while he learns his lines. Interrupted by workers ready to clear out the attic room where they are staying, they head out and run into the chicken shop lady. Dae-woong is surprised to see that Mi-ho has made friends in the neighborhood. He’s proud of her, until his phone rings and it is Dong-joo calling, he is looking for Mi-ho. Dae-woong’s jaw drops as she answers the phone cheerily to talk to this unknown man (to him).

Mi-ho tries to sneak off, but Dae-woong tells her to talk right there in front of him. But she steps away and is smiling and looking coy while talking on the phone to Dong-joo, causing Dae-woong’s blood pressure to rise. Dae-woong stalks over and wonders if they are really close as Mi-ho calls Dong-joo her friend. Frustrated, Dae-woong tells her that Dong-joo should not be calling his phone to talk to her. She agrees and says that she should just go visit him instead.

At the bus stop, fellow commuters are marveling Mi-ho’s beauty while she is busy staring at a picture of beef. One of the male commuters who is also waiting for the bus gets up to talk to her. Dae-woong steps up to Mi-ho, glancing sideways angrily, and puts his arm around her right in front of the guy, sticking his hand out to show the ring.

On the bus, they sit separated by the aisle, another guy sees Mi-ho and decides to sit next to her. Eagle-eyed Dae-woong notices him and beats him to the seat, silently taking her hand and holding it up, displaying their matching rings. Oblivious, Mi-ho asks why he is sitting next to her now, when he kept telling her to keep her distance from him. He replies that he is doing it selflessly to save humanity from her. Go Min-yeo, a high school junior of Dae-woong’s, interrupts them.

Now it is Mi-ho’s turn to stake her jealous claim. Min-yeo asks for Dae-woong’s new phone number, but when he reaches for his phone, Mi-ho grabs his ring hand and holds it up defiantly. Seeing the gesture and rings, Min-yeo apologizes for intruding when he was with his girlfriend, and leaves.

Mi-ho muses that the ring is quite handy, having the power to send any unwanted girls running in the opposite direction. Dae-woong assures her that he is not that easy, and declares that no matter how popular he always was he only ever had eyes for one girl, Hye-in. Mi-ho frowns and asks why he did not maje her his girlfriend. And he lets slip that he was going to with rings and all. It dawns on Mi-ho that the rings was not hers to begin with and pouts. Dae-woong tries to assure her that they are not rejection rings, as he never even got to tell Hye-in or give her the rings. He tries to apologize in a reverse-psychology sort of way by telling her that he will take off his rings than, which Mi-ho promptly stops him from doing so.

Dae-woong takes Mi-ho with him to class as he felt bad leaving her outside. Mi-ho is very excited, yet nervous, to be going to class like a real human. So Dae-woong goes to get her some bubbly water (lemon-lime soda). Outside, he runs into Hye-in. She tries to check out his ring finger, but he quickly hides his hand, pulling the ring off which causes it to drop to the ground. In a panic, he quickly kicks it under the soda machine. Upon seeing his bare hand, Hye-in smiles to herself. He fishes for the the ring once she’s gone, while she heads to the lecture hall with a sandwich for him, missing Mi-ho sitting inside.

Dae-woong lies to Hye-in that classes got cancelled and rushes her back out, when she offers to attend class with him. So Hye-in decides that she wants to take him out to lunch, so Dae-woong rushes back to Mi-ho and lies to her that he has an errand to run. Alas, to his dismay, Hye-in wants to drive out for lunch, he gulps, wondering if it’ll be okay.

Meanwhile, Mi-ho gets kicked out when she accidentally raised her hand in class while catching a fly. So she ends up waiting for Dae-woong outside. She heads home on her own when he does not show up. It is at this juncture, on her way home, that Director Ban spots her while dropping Sun-nyeo off. Mi-ho, recalling Dae-woong’s instructions, flees. Director Ban gives chase in his car, but she manages to give him the slip. However, her heart races, and she gets flushed, making her wonder if there is something wrong with her.

Back at the restaurant, Dae-woong gobbles his meal with lightning speed, and runs back to the lecture hall only to find it empty.

Clutching at her heart and saying that something is wrong with her, Mi-ho has gone to Dong-joo. He explains that she is slowly becoming human, and that is what it feels like to hurt, adding that human beings hurt easily, and often. He asks if she can endure it, and she smiles, happy to hear that she is taking on human characteristics, and insists that she can handle it. He cooks her a steak.

Back home, Dae-woong also prepares a plate of meat, and waits for Mi-ho. He even prepares an entire tray full of chilled bubbly water for her. Tired of endless waiting, Dae-woong finally heads down to wait for her outside. But on his way down the stairs, he sees Mi-ho walking in with Dong-joo. He is s surprised that Dong-joo looks like a normal guy. He sulks when he overhears Mi-ho telling Dong-joo how much she loved the meat he cooked for her. She asks if the meat was expensive, and when he answers that it was, she muses that Dae-woong would not be getting it for her. Dong-joo then puts his hand on her forehead to check her temperature, making Dae-woong jealous.

She runs off to find Dae-woong, and finds him grilling meat in a bad mood because she had eaten expensive meat elsewhere with another man, before coming home. She smiles, knowing that he overheard her conversation with Dong-joo. Dae-woong chastises Mi-ho for pretending to be a sickly weak girl, putting on an act to get expensive steak. While he’s busy being righteously indignant, Mi-ho notices that he no longer has his ring on. They head back to school and she lifts up the soda machine for him to retrieve his ring.

He tries forget why the ring was not on his finger, but Mi-ho relentlessly asks how did the ring end up there. Left with no other choice, Dae-woong tells Mi-ho that he took the ring off as he did not want Hye-in to see it. Realizing that Dae-woong had left her in school to hide her from Hye-in. Mi-ho is upset and hurt that he does not think of her the same way that she does. She asks him what he wants, and he declares that there is he would want from a gumiho. With a stricken look on her face, she wonders if all he wants from her is her fox bead. He asks her why ask if she already knew that that was the truth, and walks away, leaving her deflated.

Determined to find out the truth, Hye-in decides to head over to Dae-woong’s place to clear up this couple ring mystery once and for all.

Dae-woong, unable to sleep, looks outside, and is shocked to find Mi-ho drunk, with her tails hanging out. Dae-woong realizes that Mi-ho is heavily intoxicated, as there were even soju bottles amongst the beer cans. He asks her to keep her tails, and Mi-ho is so happy that she is finally asked to do something that she happily complies in her drunken state. She asks him what else he wants, and he gets her to hammer a nail with her bare hand, howl at the neighbor’s dog to shut him up, and kill the mosquitoes.

As Hye-in is on her way up, Mi-ho smells her coming and informs Dae-woong that Hye-in is on the way up. With that she steps up on the ledge with her hands out and declares that she is going to give him something that he really wants because she likes him. Just as Hye-in enters behind him, and when he turns, Mi-ho jumps off the ledge and disappears. Realizing that Mi-ho is gone, he rushes over calling her name. Although he sees Hye-in, he brushes past her to find Mi-Ho.
