Jolin Tsai Play Concert

I had the honor to attend Jolin Tsai's  "Play" concert in Singapore, thanks to my sister. Although it was a restricted view area, i was actually quite close to the stage. I was excited about this concert because i used to listen to her songs. She was the Mando dancing queen of my generation. 

These were the freebies found at our seats and it was nice of the organizer to placed them on our seats. I was anticipating Jolin Tsai concert since i have never been to her concert before.

The stage design looks like some sort of a mini playground, placed in the middle of a stage. It follows the theme of the concert - Play. Jolin Tsai costumes ranges from average to good. Some of the dancers that they hired were quite good and Jolin used English to introduced the dancers. Her English is pretty good for a Taiwanese. Anyway, she major in English and she at least can form sentences.

That night, Jolin sang all her classic songs and hype up the atmosphere with her dance steps. Perhaps due to Jolin getting older in age, she seem to get tired easily. Compared to the past when Jolin impressed us with her rhythmic gymnastic, Jolin did not perform any of that in her concert.  I was a little disappointed that she fall short of my expectation.

Jolin look gorgeous and tiny on stage. Her voice did improved a lot throughout the years and her hard work had lead to success. She was sharing her story on stage with a video of how she attained success despite the negative reviews. I admired Jolin for being such a hardworking artiste and she do deserved all the fame. I love the way she sang live for her ballads such as the smell of lemongrass, i know you are not happy and rewind. She performed steadily without any major mistake during the concert. She even invited two loyal fans from her fan club on stage to sing with her. Jolin is not really good in talking, i am glad that she choose to sing more than she talks to the audiences.  In conclusion, i do enjoy jolin concert and it seem like i took a time machine to the past when i used to listen to her songs during school days. How time flies!

Jolin Tsai to release first studio album in two years

Ahead of Jolin Tsai's latest album, which is set to be released on September 14, photographs of her album photo shoot have been released, raising expectations for her first studio release since Myself in August 2010.

Her title track, 'Da Yan Yi Jia', will showcase a new style of dancing for the pop princess and is also set to challenge the songbird vocally as she has raised the standard of her rapping and singing parts.

Taiwanese-born designer Chen Shao Yen, who is based in London, was specially hired to design Jolin's slinky gold outfit. He shared that Jolin had full trust in his design and even went to the extent of celebrating his birthday for him. He praised the singer for being both professional and caring. The photo shoot was conducted in Paris and has garnered a lot of attention, raising the hype for her upcoming album.

The music video for her title song will be released simultaneously in 60 different countries on August 15 -including Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, the United States, Canada and Australia.

Jolin Tsai and Vivian Dawson tour London

The model acknowledges the couple's relationship for the first time. It has been a tumultuous relationship for Taiwanese pop diva Jolin Tsai and her model boyfriend Vivian Dawson, despite dating each other for two years.

Recently, it was even reported that the singer went on a holiday alone and her feelings for the model had began to fade. However, that was not the case. The couple was spotted touring London two days ago, proving that their relationship is still going strong.

On Feb 14, a netizen posted photos of Jolin and Vivian shopping together at midnight. It was said that the couple had left for London, England earlier to enjoy Valentine's Day without the paparazzi. Vivian had also publicly acknowledged the couple's relationship for the first time on his microblog that day.

"Happy Valentine's Day," he wrote, addressing the entry to girlfriend Jolin. The singer was said to be holding a concert in Australia come April. It is believed that she would take the opportunity to visit Vivian's parents in New Zealand.

Alternatively, Vivian might arrange for his parents to meet Jolin in Australia. When interviewed, Vivian's management agency confirmed that the model is currently on vacation and is not in Taiwan. They also clarified that Vivian's post on Valentine's Day was merely a greeting between friends.

On the other hand, Jolin's manager denied news that the concert in Australia has been confirmed. When asked if Jolin planned to visit New Zealand, he said, "There's much work to be done before and after the concert. She'd have no time to go [to New Zealand]."

Jolin Tsai tells tabloids to "print better-looking photos!"

TAIPEI: Taiwan singer Jolin Tsai said during a music awards ceremony on Thursday that she didn't really mind being stalked by the paparazzi, but hoped the tabloids they worked for could "print better-looking photos" of her, reported Taiwan media.

Tsai explained that she was not worried about the tabloids publishing negative news about her, or constantly being shadowed by the paparazzi when she goes out with her rumoured beau Vivian Dawson, but was very particular about the quality of the photos that accompanied these articles.

"I am personally more particular about whether it (the photos) looks good or not," said Tsai, "Print better-looking photos!"

Tsai went on to reveal that she would spend Christmas and New Year's Eve with her female friends and quipped that the paparazzi "can go on holiday over the New Year".

Vivian Dawson shops at a night market

The model stopped visiting night clubs as his girlfriend Jolin Tsai's concert tour in China comes to an end. Previously, model Vivian Dawson was spotted in a night club with a younger female model, while his girlfriend and pop princess Jolin Tsai was away in China, on her concert tour.

When photos of Vivian and his date were published, the media constantly hounded Jolin when she returned to Taiwan, wanting her comment on the incident. This caused a strain in the couple's relationship.

A few days ago, Jolin was in Nanjing for the final stop of her Myself concert tour. That night, Vivian was spotted with his friends at a night market, after work.

The model first accompanied his friends to the food market to buy some liquorice guava, deep-fried chicken and other snacks. While those around him feast on the food, Vivian, who is watching his weight, resisted the temptation to eat.

The chatty Vivian did not eat anything, but chose to converse with his friends in a mix of Chinese and English.

The model, who loves to jog, also walked faster than the rest of his friends. When the traffic light turned red, Vivian crossed the street before his friends managed to. Waiting for the light to turn green again, the model even practiced a few of Jolin's dance move to entertain himself.

Later, his female friends left first, leaving Vivian and three of his male friends at an internet café, where they spent the rest of their evening.

Jolin Tsai celebrates 31st birthday

The singer's beau was nowhere in sight at the party. According to reports, Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai, who turned 31 yesterday, threw a "cartoon themed" celebratory birthday party in the company of 200 fans.

Sporting a pair of shades, the pop princess was reportedly in high spirits when she headed to the party venue at 3pm yesterday. Boyfriend Vivian Dawson, who was said to turn up as a "Monkey God" character, was absent from the event.Dressed up as "Wonder Woman", Jolin treated fans in attendance to a string of song numbers, such as "I Wanna Go", "Yin Wei Ai", "Hu Ran Zhi Jian" and "Hai Shi Hui Ji Mo".

However, rumoured ex-lover Jay Chou's song, "Shuo Hao De Xing Fu Ne", which she was reportedly supposed to sing, was conspicuously left out of the song line-up.

The birthday party was only limited to 200 fans, who had paid NT$1000 (S$42) for an entry ticket. In addition, good friend and Taiwanese singer Jiang Mei Qi, also made a surprise appearance at the party.

When asked what Vivian Dawson planned to celebrate her birthday, Jolin simply smiled and replied, "Thanks".
