Summary

Clash of the Titians

Clash of the Titans is a 2010 fantasy film and remake of the 1981 film of the same name, as noted in the credits. As with the 1981 film, the story is very loosely based upon the Greek myth of Perseus.
The film begins with a narration that explains the three Olympians who battled the Titans long ago: Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades. Hades with his creation, the Kraken, provides their means of defeating the Titans. After the Titans' defeat, Zeus created humans and ruled them while Poseidon ruled the sea, but Hades, having been deceived by his brother Zeus was forced to rule the Underworld, learns an alternative way of gaining power from humans different from his brothers receiving theirs from human devotion; through fear.

Millennia later, a fisherman named Spyros finds a coffin adrift in the sea, discovering a baby, Perseus, and his dead mother. Spyros decides to raise Perseus as his own. Years later, Perseus and his family are fishing when they witness a group of soldiers from Argos destroying a statue of Zeus as a declaration of war against the gods. Hades appears and commands harpies to massacre the soldiers before he himself destroys Perseus's family's fishing boat. Perseus tries to save his family, but to no avail, the surviving soldiers take Perseus back to Argos.

Hades convinces his brother, Zeus, to let him loose on humanity to punish Argos for its defiance, threatening Argos will be destroyed in 10 days nless Princess Andromeda is sacrificed to the Kraken. Perseus's adventure begin when the king seeks his help...more>>

The movie effects were great, but the storyline was a little lacking in development. The ending was a little disappointing.

Taiwanese idol group Fahrenheit to visit Korea next week

Taiwanese idol group Fahrenheit will be visiting Korea to promote their country's tourism and hold a fan meeting next week, according to the event's organizer Mays Entertainment on Tuesday.

The boy band -- dubbed the TVXQ of Taiwan -- will be meeting with local fans at their first official fan meeting in Seoul, to be held at Melon Ax Hall on March 26, Mays announced in a press release.

"Tickets for the event sold out in a few hours of going on sale," an official at Mays was quoted as saying.

The official explained that the fan meeting will feature a guest appearance by Korean actress Ku Hye-sun, who starred in hit KBS TV series "Boys Over Flowers" last year and shot a promotional music video with the boy band last January.

The quartet, who are publicity ambassadors for the Tourism Bureau of Taiwan, will also be attending a press conference regarding promoting tourism in their country.

Farenheit -- composed of Aaron Yan, Wu Chun, Calvin Chen, and Jiro Wang -- made their debut in September 2006 with a self-titled album released in Taiwan and mainland China.

They gained popularity throughout Asia with the success of the debut record and subsequent albums, "Two-Sided Fahrenheit" (2008) and "Love You More and More" (2009).

The four members, who have also branched out to acting in dramas and films, received the Asia Star award at the 2010 Asia Model Awards in January in Seoul alongside top Korean actor Lee Byung-hun. They were also named Best Asian Artist at the 2008 Asia Song Festival.

Tickets for their upcoming fan meeting are available on online reservation site Auction (http://ticket.auction.co.kr).

Aya is leaving Guess Guess Guess

Many viewers were caught off guard when the popular host announced her departure after 12 years with the show. Although Guess Guess Guess has seen many changes with its assistant host, Aya has remained as Jacky Wu’s main co-host over the years.

Earlier this year, Yao Yao was brought in to replace Butterfly in an attempt to improve the show’s ratings. Guess Guess Guess has actually been doing worst since then, which led to speculations that Yao Yao might be replaced as well. Its ratings improved slightly over the past few weeks when Amber Ann and Alicia Liu filled in while Yao Yao was away. Along with Tofu girl, the three are rumored as possible candidates to replace Yao Yao for good.

Following her sudden announcement on the 29th, Aya said she is leaving because she hasn’t been able to help with the show’s ratings. She felt that she wasn't able to contribute to the show and also wanted to expand her career in acting. She recommended to viewers that Butterfly could return as Yao Yao’s new co-host.

Actress Inoue Mao (23) will be appearing in a gelato ice cream CM which will begin airing in April. Wearing a yellow and pink outfit brimming of spring flavour, the Dango Over Flowers actress seems like the appropriate choice to take on the Aisu no Mi product by maker Glico.

The new CM spot is called 'Get on the Bus'. In a bus with 24 other women sitting inside, Inoue will be dancing down the aisle while eating the ice cream in a high tension filled atmosphere. Known for her unique choreography, Mikiko-san has produced this dance with a considerable level of difficulty. However, all the members were able to execute the dance flawlessly. During the morning of the shoot, Mikiko-san gave Inoue an hour's lesson and kept praising her by saying 'perfect'.

The results of the lesson can be seen nationwide starting on the 1st when the CM will be released.
