Running Man Asia Tour Episode 133

In episode 133 of Running Man, the team had traveled to Macau for filming. I was anticipating for the Asia tour ever since Jo PD mentioned in an interview that he was planning something big for Running Man in 2013.

The first destination for the Asia tour mission was Macau. The cast members arrived at the Airport one by one. Gary looked very tired as he explained about the jetlag after his concert in America. Soon, everyone arrived except for Jong Kook who suffered from leg injuries.

On board the airplane, the cast wonders if they have to start the mission once they landed in the airport. I am pretty sure that they have to accomplish their mission once they landed although the PD played coy. I can’t help but notice that the Monday couple was seated next to each other. Yoo Jae Suk even teased them for looking like honeymoon couple. An air stewardess came to Kwang soo with a tablet (Mission) and he misunderstood the meaning and asked, “Phone Number? (The girl phone number) and the others helped to clear the misunderstanding.

True enough, the three groups: Yoo Jae Suk, Haha- Yellow team, Ex-Monday couple - Green team and Easy Brothers - Blue teams have to search for Running Man suitcase once they landed at the Airport. Jihyo being the Ace of the team found the suitcase first and set off for the next mission, followed by Yellow and Blue teams.

The next mission is to find the keys to the suitcase. Kwang Soo and Ji Suk Jin were basked in their popularity but it was short-lived until the fans heard that Yoo Jae Suk was at the other side and ran off leaving the two of them in the cold. At the jewelry shop, the Ex-Monday couple spotted a sales assistant and instinctively asked for the keys. Surprisingly he answered in Korean, “I don’t have any keys.” Ji Hyo was attracted to a 3 carats ring and teasingly asked Gary to buy for her and he gamely agreed.

In the end, both the team found the guests and the keys, except for Blue Team (Kwang Soo and Ji Suk Jin). I personally pity Kwang Soo because he tried his best to catch Dong Wook but he ended up in the cafe where the Monday Couple were at. Therefore, the Monday Couple found the guest coincidentally. Their next mission is to carry the guest to the treasure box. Haha and Jae Suk had trouble carrying Hye Jin. I was giggling at the whole process when they carried the guest. Song Ji Hyo was surprisingly strong for a lady as Gary and her lifted up Dong Wook in an arm locked position. The first sword was presented to Hye Jin and the team as they arrived first. I like the way Hye Jin played with the dagger and teasingly stabbed Jae Suk on the chest. The only group that does not have guest in their group was the blue group.

The next mission is a nerve-wrenching experience. We saw the Running Man carrying out their mission at the tallest Macau Building. Over here, they have to accomplish three mission to find the hidden words and solve the word puzzles. I was impressed with Dong Wook for being a good sport although he looks extremely terrified of height; he managed to bungee jump from the building. Next, we saw the ladies Ji Hyo and Hye Jin took up the challenge and conquered their fear in bungee jumping.

I pitied Yoo Jae Suk, Kwang Soo and Haha because they were known to be fearful of height. I especially like the expression of Kwang Soo and Jae Suk when they saw Ji Hyo walking towards the edge of the building, i love how they called out to her at a distance. when Ji Hyo volunteered to opted for Bugee Jump because she was too tired, I was pleasantly surprised by her courage. Her Monday boyfriend Gary was too scared and even called out to his mummy as he complete his mission. When Ji Hyo jumped from the building with ease, she gathered the admiration of the others.

As expected, the yellow team (Ji Hyo, Dong Wook and Gary) solved the word puzzle first. In exchange for their effort, they were given a dagger. With this dagger in hand, the Running Man was ushered off to the next destination amidst loud cheers from the fans. The next scene brought us to a familiar figure that appears in the airport and the Song "one man" was played as he stepped in.

Let's welcome Kim Jong Kook *fangirl mode*! He walked slowly with a little limp and later we were told that he suffered from leg injury. Anyway, he took a helicopter all the way to meet the Running Man. Once Jong Kook alighted, he was told to hold a bouquet of flowers and meet someone.

In the end, kwang Soo and Ji Suk Jin found him at the stairway and warmly welcome him. I like that Kwang Soo hugged and kissed his hyung at the cheek. Although, he looks aggressive in expressing his love for his hyung, I can still sense that they have a great relationship. Kwang Soo was relieved and overjoyed to see Jong Kook. I like how Jong Kook demonstrates his strength by pretending to tear off Ji Suk Jin name tag.

The next mission is tug-of-war and each team has to find participants based on the criteria listed. Finally, I can feel the competitiveness in the game with Jong Kook around. His fellow Running Man members were surprised to see him and they were worried about his presence because of the game they are playing requires lots of strength. The three teams have to hold the thick rope and the first person that hit the bell at the back wins. Trainer Kook starts to give instructions and the easy brothers just followed him. The winner is none other than Haha who managed to ring the bell twice and secured the win for his team. Likewise, they received a dagger for their efforts.

The last mission of the day was to find the last sword in the Shopping Mall. This time round, the blue team (Jong kook, Ji suk Jin and Kwang Soo) found the Running Man flag first. Thanks to Ji Suk Jin sharp eyes. This was the first dagger that they had received.

Afterthoughts

Running Man without any member is simply incomplete. But the variety show came out with ingenious games which more than make up for it. I had been to the Macau tower before and I definitely knew how tall the building is. I admired their courage for overcoming their fear.

Song Ji Hyo, Han Hye Jin and Lee Dong Woo were sporting enough to try the bungee jumping. However, I was even more impressed with Yoo Jae Suk and Haha who were brave enough to complete their mission. Haha even talked to himself as he mustered his courage to walk around searching for the piece of paper and I was proud of this father to be. Kwang Soo and Yoo Jae Suk always make me laugh especially when they climbed up the tower and their faces turned pale. Jae Suk even whined at the experience at the tower while traveling in the car.

I like the music of “one man” being played while Jong Kook appeared at the airport. The Running Man team even catered a helicopter to bring him to the destination. The bromance between the easy brothers and Kim Jong Kook was touching. The expression of Kwang Soo is simply priceless when he met his hyung. He hugged Kim Jong Kook and asked him not to leave him again. Yes, Running Man need you, SpartaKooks!
